View Full Version : Spyborgs (Wii) Is Underrated

Hardcore games for current-gen consoles are tough to come by these days. Even retro-remakes are pathetically easy in terms of difficulty (for instance NSMB Wii). With Spyborgs (Wii) at a very cheap retail of $10 and with a challenge level close to that of an NES title, it still gets no love whatsoever. Critics with their heads up their asses and not even a thousand copies of it sold. People are just wusses and "can't handle" real difficulty these days or otherwise this (and a few other modern games) would sell better, even if the game has a more kid-friendly appeal than other hardcore games. It's sort of like the Rayman effect- cute, kid styled game but a real challenge to finish. Anybody else agree with me?

For the amount of time that I played the game, I guess I was kind of confused on what type of game it was trying to be, and what audience it was trying to go after. I love old school difficulity, and love Capcom's products. The art style of the game did not do it for me, as well as the control style. After playing the game about 45 min, I just was not having fun, so I decided to not play any further. Nothing personal against the game, it just was not working for me, but for $10 others might like it.

Looks like an interesting title, and for $10, I'll pick that up...

I picked it up at Toys R Us for only $5. People interestested should look there and see if any are left. I haven't gotten around to opening it yet though and can't give an opinion.
