Lissette downloaded this on her iPhone this week and I'd be really hard-pressed to say that I wasn't impressed with what they managed to pull off with the system hardware.

Granted, it's not perfect, with load times before matches somewhere around the 20-30 second mark, no online play, (transparent) on-screen touch controls that take up 25% of the screen, and the fact that the game did chug a few times while I was playing AND it crashed once when I was about 5 matches deep into arcade mode ....

... all that aside it's pretty much Street Fighter IV!!

I know that the dev team behind this built it from the ground up specifically for the iPhone, so it's not like it'd be a fast/easy port over to PSP or DS ... but I see no reason why if they achieved what they did on that platform that it can't be done on either of those systems.

Granted, PSP2 and DS2 are likely right around the corner and we'll probably see an iteration of the Street Fighter franchise on either or both of those ...

Has anybody else picked it up on their i-platform of choice??

Who is Lissette, for those of us playing at home?

My better half & the iPhone owner in our household (I have an Android, so the only Street Fighter I'm playing on my phone is via SNES, Genesis, GBA etc. emulation).

Chandler, I don't know if your "witty" comment was directed at me or at (the wonderful) Lissette the singer but as a female (FYI (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Female)), I take offense. I'm not sure what your problem is but it's pretty sad to be attacking someone who a) you don't know and b) you thought wasn't going to read this. Not only are there other women in the Digital Press community, but I've been going to the store for the past three years, attended NAVA events and baked many a cupcake that you yourself have probably gorged down.

Thanks for the clever attempt at sexually/verbally assaulting me through the subterfuge of referencing somebody with the same first name but in the future, leave me (and any other Spanish popstars bearing my name) out of your commentary.

Wow, that took an ugly turn.

It probably would have come out better if Mr. Says Relax hadn't Ninja'd GAC's post by one minute.

Negative. I have never consumed a cupcake made by someone I don't know. I thought Frankie was talking about the Spanish singer Lissette. Apparently it is not the same one. Thanks for making an account on DP, please post here first: http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5
and introduce yourself!

I am going to lock this one up as it has seemed that the joke has gotten misconstrued! I apologize publicly to anyone who was offended. Thanks for playing.
