Hey folks,
well if you haven't booked your hotel yet, this would be a good time to get a move on! Don't panic about not getting a room at The Plaza, there are about a dozen hotels in a 3 block radius from the Plaza:

Here are the website addresses for each hotel listed above. There's always the strip if you're looking for something a little more glamorous, but the Fremont Street area has been renovated in recent years, it's sort of a mini-Vegas. The BIG Vegas is about 4 miles down the road.

For the last min persons, Orbitz still offers package (air+hotel) now, check it out

I personally like Fitzgerald better, cleaner with better restaurants with just 2 blocks from the Plaza. I've heard to stay away outside of the Fremont, there're a few other hotels a bit further.

The last two years I have stayed at Main Street Station and highly recommend it. It is simply a nicer hotel than the Plaza; less crowded and nicer rooms. It is a bit more expensive than the Plaza but you get what you pay for. I love the on-premisis brew pub!

Still haven't booked a hotel but want to Stay in the Plaza?

I found that Lasvegas.com has block for that show weekend that is available. Even if the Plaza itself says they are all booked.

A couple of weeks ago when the Plaza website said they were all booked, I went to Travelocity.com and they had the room available. I think sometimes they buy the rooms in advance so you might want to check with them or another similar site.

Anyone feel like staying at the Golden Gate? The only review I found of it says that it's ok (noisy if you're on the Freemont Street side), and it's only $55ish per room per night so that's less than $30 per person for the budget conscious among us... ;)

I stay at the Golden Nugget every year. It is very nice for downtown. It has the Old Las Vegas aura about it.

Does anyone know what kind of connections/hook-ups are on the Plaza televisions?

Or, are they even accessible?

Thanks,

Brad

Most all Hotel TVs have the tamper proof connections because of the Order on Demand stuff.

The Golden Gate's full so what's the Club like? Has anyone stayed there before?

Rooms in the South Tower are $55 on Saturday night so I'm gonna try and book in there...unless someone wants a roomie? :hmm:
