That's a clever title right?
Remember when Driv3r did that like 7 years ago?

Driver 3 really isn't a bad game. Shootout missions weren't too great, but the missions that you actually drove were good. Atleast it's better than every GTA aside from San Andreas and GTA4. Driver 2 was kind of bad even though you couldn't do much outside of your car other than steal another car, so we atleast got more of a game than expected with Driver 3(basically, Driver 2 sucked.)

I loved Fear. I haven't played Fear Files or Fear 2 yet but they are sitting on my game shelf. I'm definitely interested in Fear 3 but they should really change that title if that is indeed the one they plan to use.

I've only played a few hours of the original, which I own on PS3, but I know the overall backstory of the series pretty well. Anxiously awaiting this one.
Oh and, am I the only one that thinks Adult Alma is hot? Especially in that teaser poster.

So you dont like Thi4f? And I thought it was clever trying to change the way 3=E into 4=E.

F.E.A.R. was an AMAZING game....haven't played F.E.A.R. Files, but I did play through F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin and it was complete shit IMO. They really lost it after the first one :( I have low expectations for a 3rd game.

Big fan of FEAR and FEAR 2, and even played though the Files disc (not great but I got my money's worth).
FEAR!!! It's an action-filled FPS that allows the player short bursts of time dilation (slowing down time to aim or react) well. Even without the mutant/psychic ability/gimmick to slow down time at will the game still holds up. It's scary as hell with the atmosphere, characters, music stings, ghosts, non-ghost enemies, scripted shocks and flashbacks. Considering every other FPS is Space Marines versus Alien Zombies the FEAR universe is pretty refreshing.
And the bad news? The first game was a bit repetitive and can be beaten in two hours. The second holds a hightened, fully-alert mood so long playing sessions were very draining. Also the game was like 5 times longer than the first, which adds to the loooooong feeling. They're not perfect, but damn worth playing.
I like how the games are all continuing the same story from the previous games. Clearly that's the same Alma from FEAR 2's ending and reborn "Paxton" (from FEAR 1) from the FEAR 2 DLC.
As for the t1tl3, F.E.A.R. is already an acronym - First Encounter Assault Recon. What's First Three Assault Recon supposed to mean?

You never bear F.E.A.R. 2, did you? *shudder*
I loved the first F.E.A.R., and enjoyed F.E.A.R. 2 quite a bit. I'm looking forward to this one, even if they mined YTMND for the 733t title. Or whatever.

I'm a 30 year old man who was too scared to play more than 15 mins of FEAR 2 on my HD projector in a dark room.

No, but I've seen the ending.

I can't wait for this one, I thought Fear 1 and 2 were both awesome. Some of the environments were so realistically disgusting it really added to the atmosphere. The abandoned apartment building was totally sick.
The transition from Fear 1 to Fear 2 was smooth and interesting but I really wanted to play as the same main character in part 2. I wonder how they will deal with this in part 3. Something tells me they will switch the main character again.

OK, then. PSYCHIC RAPE IS NOT HOT. Neither is naked zombie ghost. All, of course, in my opinion.
Bad news, folks. It looks like Day 1 studios, the gentlemen behind the mediocre F.E.A.R. files expansion and.... FRACTURE.... are developing F.E.A.R. 3. My excitement just dropped considerably.
What concerns me more is what Monolith is up to since they aren't handling the continued adventures of Alma. More Condemned? Or even better....Shogo 2?

What does F.3.A.R. stand for? And how can a 3 be an abbreviation for anything?

We were wondering the same thing about the 3 in Driv3r, although it's basically a marketing gimmick.
Back on topic, the game has now been officially announced and will include co-op (http://www.industrygamers.com/news/fear-3-permeates-air/) play.

The trailer is FMV too. Bad FMV.
It's too soon to call balls on this, but I'm officially skeptical. It seems the suits at Warner Bros. might be a decade behind or so.
