Just got my Japanese Super Famicom system in the mail today. Although it comes with the original Japanese AC Power Supply, is it safe to use that in North America. Im dying to plug it in and play. Can anyone give me info , cuz i do NOT wanna fry my system.

I had my Super Famicom plugged in through that before I got my Satellaview base , which rendered it unneeded.
Canada uses US Voltage standards and not Europe's, yes? If so, I'd think you'd be ok.

You'll be fine. I have two Super Famicoms, and they work just fine in the U.S. Japan runs on roughly 100V, while the US runs on about 110V. It's not enough of a difference to really matter. I have, however, heard reports of AC adapters dying, but US AC adapters die too. :P
If it really bothers you though, go on eBay and get a new Sega Genesis model 1 (make sure it's model 1 though - models 2 and 3 used a different adapter!) AC adapter. I am not kidding about this; the Gen model 1 and the SFC have exactly the same plugs and the same output/polarity, and you can easily get brand-new Sega Genesis AC adapters rated for the US. I actually got one myself because I only have one AC adapter and two consoles. I prefer to use the Genesis adapter because it's much newer.

Haha. That has to be one of the few games released in both regions where the SFC version is more expensive now than the SNES version. I have it too though. :P
Anyway, happy gaming. :)
