So just got the new ms sidewinder x4 in the mail today and the fucking media keys do jack shit, I made sure itunes is my default player about 1241 times. and if you're in game and you press the "play" key it alt tabs your ass out of the game and tries to play something on itunes. (it pulls itunes up but does nothing)


I dont remember having a problem with media keys on any other keyboard.

Another quality product from Microsoft?

lolwuuuuuuuuuut, so I went to reinstall my keyboard so i uninstalled the program that came with the keyboard and went to see if the keyboard worked after that and it did. So what I'm saying having the program installed screwed the media keys?

I'm just wondering why you would need to install software to use a keyboard, I remember years ago when you could just plug in any keyboard into the computer and it would just work. The good old 5-pin keyboards were awesome.

Hey, most USB keyboards work just as fine.

(But I prefer keyboards with an actual keyboard port. They're cool.)

I don't see the -point- of having buttons that open certain programs on Windows. That's what the taskbar / quick launch thingy is for.
