ooo, I didn't know there was one for the Wii... though my Wii's on the same TV for the Xbox 360 so I guess it's not needed... however, it would be one less thing keeping me chained to Xbox Live Gold...

i've had it on my 360 for a few months and it's great. lots of cool movies to stream.

just got a PS3 and it came with the disc. i probably won't renew my live service next month and will start using netflix on the PS3, though i haven't tried netflix on there.

seems like it might be a little more annoying if you have to load the netflix disc every time you want to stream a movie, is that the case? guess i'll find out soon enough.

Yes, you have to load the disc every time. It's not so bad, though. I don't have any experience with Netflix on the 360, but the ps3 service isn't so bad. My wii disc has not shown up yet.

My Wii disc hasn't shown up yet either. I have Netflix on both my 360 and the PS3 but I prefer, just by a little, on the 360. It just feels smoother to run on the 360 than on the PS3. Not that the PS3 one is bad, mind you. I think it might also be smoother once Sony is allowed to incorporate Netflix into its' XMB...

I just got the Wii streaming disc in today. I watched an episode of The Office on it and it looked pretty decent. The video ran smoothly.

Thanks guys. I WWatched batman returns on it today and was pretty happy with it. It played well and the picture looked good to. :guitar::guitar::guitar: Now netflix just needs to add more recent movies to there streaming list.

see, if you want to take full advantage of the netflix streaming option you can't limit yourself to recent hollywood blockbusters. i would suggest paying a few more dollars to actually rent physical copies of the movies so you can rent anything you want if that is your thing.

there are PLENTY of recent movies you can stream but a lot of them are smaller independent movies and documentaries.

I tried mine last night, actually. Menus load SLOW. This thing crawls on the Wii. I have it on the PS3 and 360 as well, and they are infinitely faster. The 360 has an obvious advantage, but the PS3 isn't bad.

I have a 20m connection, so I know that wasn't the problem.

The video quality isn't there either. But, I didn't expect much, since the Wii isn't HD by any means. I did hope for a little better throughput. It'll work, but I have a PC hooked up to the same TV, so I'm not worried. I got it as more of an experiment than anything.

The video quality seems to differ from movie to movie.

QFT. I've noticed that some movies look excellent and very DVD-quality, while others have abysmal black levels and macroblocking everywhere. Has anyone tried watching Forest Gump (says available in HD) and gotten anything close to DVD quality, let alone HD?

I use my phat PS3 for Netflix, but it's loud. I don't pay for XBL (zero games I'd play online more than a month, or even occasionally), so I've never tried it on 360. I do have a DVR PC set up and I've tried Netflix on the Windows Media Center plugin, but they don't allow HD streaming on that (and it's choppy as hell, wish I could enable hardware video acceleration).

If the Wii gave me the same quality that the PS3 did, I'd switch over. Maybe I'll try it out and compare the two tonight, my disk has been sitting here since I got it...

I've got the PS3 disc and I find it impossible to use. There is no SEARCH feature! It's the most annoying thing in the world. Their website isn't a whole lot better.

Basically, I only watch new releases because I've seen every other movie in existence, and if I haven't, it isn't something I want to see, with extremely rare exceptions. I almost never watch a movie twice. The other problem is there is no "new releases" section to search through. Sure, they have new movies available to select that are *new to Netflix,* but that is completely useless to me, since I really don't think a 1960s movie should be listed as a new release. I find myself using several different sites to find out what's coming out, then adding them to my Netflix account from their site by manually typing the name in.

Am I doing this wrong or does somebody know something I don't? Why in the hell would Netflix even set themselves up this way? I just don't see the benefit to them, as there's sure as shit barely a benefit to me. When I walk into a video store, I know exactly what's new. Why the fuck can't netflix do the same and make it easy?
