I could list a whole plethora of plagiarisms on his part, as well as his written apology letter to James, but he's not worth the time. If you like poor acting, stale humour and watching someone recite their limited video game knowledge which they doubtlessly got from Wikipedia, then fair enough. Just don't claim they're original.

Funny? you would have had to be locked in a box for 20 years to find him funny.
Knowledgeable, The guy was struggling to fill 2 minutes. He just went to wikipedia or something and printed lists of products in the line. I am sure he lived absolutely nothing of his subject.
Again he pretends to be a gamer among gamers, but he disables comments. If you can't take people telling you how bad you suck, you really should consider doing something else.
Just because you cut people off from honest comments does not mean you do not suck.
I respect someone more who sucks but believes in what he is doing, but lets people tell him he sucks, more than a phony who disables comments so he appears popular.
In other words by disabling comments Irate gamer knows he sucks. Pretending its a secret does not help.
The only true thing about Irate Gamer is his last name. Bores!!! Yes he does.

I gate irate a chance, but I lost all respect for him after watching his Aladdin video. He deliberately plays bad in order to make the game look much worse than it is, and at one point he writes off an easy-to-get gem as "impossible" because he jumps off the platform too soon.
Just....no. AVGN makes bad games look bad. IG tries too hard to make decent games look bad.

I don't think that either of them are funny, honestly. Now, I use to think that AVGN was funny, but that was a long time ago. He barely even talks about the games anymore; it seems like he just tries to string together as many cuss words as he can. I think he jumped the shark a log time ago. Like a lot of cult things that gain popularity he tries to come too extreme now, and to me it just comes off as cheap and force. But that just my opinion.
The Irate Gamer is, was, and always will be, utter crap -- that's pretty much fact.

I agree with this, I don't like AVGN at all anymore. All his new videos seem like he doesn't care anymore. He acts really lazy and has no enthusiasm anymore. He's just making videos to make more money. All thou i must say i still do enjoy watching him at times, but he just doesn't have that same fire. And his latest reviews have got boring imo.
Did you check out the Godzilla one? It was really good.

I agree with you. I used to think the AVGN was hilarious back in 2006-early 2008 when he had a cult following and was relatively unknown, but I think that in recent times he isn't quite as funny as he used to be. I discovered the Nostalgia Critic last year and even though he reviews something different, I think he is way funnier than the AVGN. I only saw a couple of Irate Gamer episodes and I thought they were alright but not close to as good as the AVGN or the NC.

He's not THAT bad once given the chance. He just lacks many qualities the nerd has.
Some of his videos are funny, but most are just "soso". Still, he is miles better than most crappy Youtube reviews.

Although I'm not really a huge fan of AVGN, I fell that Irate Gamer "Carlos Mencias" (steals) all of AVGN's jokes.

The only one of Irate Gamer I've watched was the Back to the Future one. There are a few things that Irate Gamer says almost word for word in comparison to what James says in his review. Because of this review I haven't watched another of his videos.

All of these quotes are amazing.
But even if you don't cherry-pick facepalm moments, his English is often mangled, and is full of sloppy grammar and poor word usage (like in the "predecessor" example there). I don't even really care if he's ripping off AVGN. I tend to think that while clearly the concept is stolen from AVGN, little of the content is, but that doesn't keep his videos from sucking!
