This game was 99% finished and then canceled by Psygnosis. Sony now owns the rights to the game, but maybe it will be released some day. Presentation by DICE developers at Datastorm 2010 in Gothenburg:

That looks AWESOME!

Kinda reminds me of Turrican meets Shadow Complex. I really dug some of the music as well. I would love to have that on a cart, but release in any form would be nice.

I guess it has some nice animation, but it doesn't look like we missed too much by not seeing a release of this game.

And I actually think the sound was pretty bad. There were soooo many Genesis developers who just made a ton of games that sounded just like that. It seems that the music from Genesis/MD carts got progressively worse as the system aged. Programmers were getting lazy, I guess.

I really liked the music, it has an Amiga kind of sound to it. It at least sounds decent, unlike some Genny soundtracks I can think of.

It looks great!

Like stated before, it reminds me of Turrican/Super Turrican for some reason. The music is ok, though could have been more upbeat for my tastes.

Still, it looks great and it would be awesome if it would be relased, even if it's online only.

But it was great to see the footage in action! :)

^This. Titles from 1989 sound better than that IMO. The game looks kinda cool, but it's that euro style I just don't really care for. Cool that they showed it off, though.

I didn't realize DICE was around during the 16 bit era.

I wish Test Drive Rally for the N64 would surface. Was near completion, looked amazing in screenshots, and apparantly played well according to some of the media outlets at the time that had a chance to preview it. Especially with what they later accomplished with the Rallisport Challenge series, I'd love to see how this project turned out.

Their first games were the Pinball Dreams series on Amiga and PC.

I actually like the soundtrack, as Steve W said, it has an Amiga-Hülsbeck-chiptuneish feel to it. There are only very few MD games with enjoyable soundtracks imo due to the somewhat crappy sound chip, so this is a nice exception.

I think it looks excellent. The animation is pretty impressive for the time, and looks like something my friends and I would have flocked to back in the day. I don't care for the music much either though.

That's some damn fine animation. The music isn't bad, but it could have been better if they used the little-known SMS sound chip in the Megadrive to make sharper-sounding instruments, like many of the first-party titles do. Now that I think about it, no American or European title that I know of ever used it...

There are a number of Western games that use both the PSG and FM chips (Mega Turrican, Road Rash III, etc.).
