I'm rather fond of my complete copy of Wonderboy III, but the trio of Sonic games I imported from Europe is a pretty nice compliment to my Genesis Sonic series.

Well, my ONLY current SMS item is a manual for Sonic the Hedgehog. And that is the sum total of my SMS collection! If anyone's short a manual, let me know!

Well, I have one of the sega light phaser's with the red tip on the gun, supposedly those are harder to find...I have 2 sms tec toy games that I mentioned so many times already I'm not gonna bother again...hmm...I'll say Choplifter, if only for the fact that game rocks, and since I got it I been playing it alot.

Oh yeah, I have a master gear convertor. Good stuff for playing Double Dragon or Hang On, and Zillion (now I just need my own copy of that...)

Sure do. It's all I have to play my SMS games on, too. I may take pictures later but to be honest my collection isn't a unique sight.

I have a Power Base Coverter for my Genesis - I haven't had an actual SMS in years.

As far as my "prize" is concerned - well, none of these are rare or remotely special, to my knowledge, but 90% of my SMS games are cib - including R-Type, Rastan, Golvellius, Alex Kidd In Miracle World, Master Of Darkness, Star Wars, Phantasy Star, and Kenseiden. Kenseiden in particular has a great deal of sentimental value to me, as my copy is the first SMS game I ever played. I originally got to try out the SMS at a friend's house sometime in '88, and Kenseiden was the first game I played. A few years later, I got ahold of him and asked him if he still had his SMS stuff, which he did but he never played anymore - so he agreed to sell it all to me (he had the system and about 10 games). That helped my fledgling SMS collection out quite a bit.

I've a pair of the 3D glasses too - they'd probably be the highlight of my SMS collection.

Not sure how unusual the 'Special Edition' Power Strike is but I like it

Well, Phantasy Star is highly sought after and I think sometimes people try selling it for around $70. Can't say I checked eBay to get that figure, though, since it's from an online store (4Jays, I think, posted that price).

Oh, and Kenseiden is a great game. Playing Revenge of Shinobi after that one gives you a sense of "wow, this all looks more than vaguely familiar." Good thing it's nice scenery..!

I've got a complete US collection (it really wasn't that difficult to complete), the 3D Glasses and Power Base converter for Genesis, and two boxed sets (Master System I and II) but the PRIZE in my collection is the store display unit which allows you to switch between up to 16 games. This item is in Vegas at the CGE museum at the moment but I'm going to have it shipped back to me this year. It was perfect mounted under a monitor so it doesn't take up much additional space.

Well, my collection can't compete with DP's, (Whose can??? ;-) ) But my highlights are:

A boxed SMS (Even though the box is less than perfect)
A Power Base Converter
A boxed pair of 3D Glasses
and 38 games including Star Wars & World Games (Not released in US), Both Fantasy Zones, Choplifter, and the Wonder Boy series...

Well, I do have Power Strike and Street Fighter II mint and complete, but the highlight are the glasses. Not just because of their coolness, but because of how much I paid for them. I got a SMS 1, 16 games, glasses, and power base convertor about 2 years ago for only $5 for the entire lot at a garage sale!

Buster Douglass is probably my rarest title.

I have been collecting the SMS for years. I have come across the 16 game kiosk. A few Outrun 3-d's. Alex Kidd Shinobi? No problem at all. But I have never even SEEN this game. Not even a scan of the box. I hereby personally declare this title to be the rarest SMS title. After three years of searching for it I think I should know! Be lucky you have it, and, can you scan a pic of the box and manual?

On another note, not my prize, but my brother's. He recently aquired a few late release titles. One being Alex Kidd (original) but with a newer style box. But, the strangest to me is a blue labeled Ghostbusters. I asked about it here and at SMS Power, but got no replies. I don't know what the story is behind it, but I sure as hell have never seen it this way before.

Hey Joe, post some pics of your SMS US complete collection...

I don't collect the Brazilian games, though I do have about a dozen non-US Euro titles that I had to have!

I'd post pics but my Master System stuff is really in hard to get places.

For example, stacked between the two bookshelves of NES games in one stack, and more stacked under the 3D glasses behind the table with the monitors here:
http://www.digitpress.com/gameroom/dp1.jpg

Someday when I change things around I'll get them all in one pic.

Oh, a question, a man from this forums told me that Out run 3D is a holy grial, itīs really very difficult to find there???, i have a complete brazilian version (this man also told me that recently in eBAY there was an auction for $ 400 of this game)...

Outrun 3-D isn't as rare as everyone may think. Don't get me wrong, it is rarer than say Alex Kidd Shinobi (blue label), but even there it can be found listed on ebay once a month or so. The Brazilian version (Tec Toy) is even less rare, as it was a re-release and from what I am told was made in large quantities. The "rare" version everyone refers to is the Euro release which doesn't say "Tec Toy" on the bottom of the box cover. The copy that sold recently on ebay didn't hit $400, but hit $285. It was mine :) I actually purchased it two weeks before right on ebay for $15. I wasn't originally goingto sell it, but I had some ebay fees to take care of and some unpaid auctions as well. I figured I'd get $100 for it if I was lucky...which is usually what it gets on ebay on the average. Because of some sort of crazy bid war it ended up at almost $300. I highly doubt this will ever happen again. As a matter of fact, the person who paid me for the game re-listed it a week or so later...maybe to make more? Or maybe because of regret? Well, he ended up parting with it for $105.

I only have about 6 sms games. Being an AD&D game fan I would say AD&D Heroes of the Lance is my "gem"(no one jump on me for that one :D ) I do have a cool sms converter in cart form that allows me to play sms games on my Genesis. Is there a way to play sms games on a Sega Nomad?

I would label it a R6 and the Euro a R7. This is just my opinion as a collector however. But, a collector for quite a few years mind you :)

I thought the power base convertor could fit in the nomad cart slot...if it doesn't though, then no, I think you'll just have to get a game gear and master gear convertor.

The master gear converter works witha game gear (for carts only...no cards) but when I had it I remember the picture was pretty crappy. I ended up selling off the converter a day after I bought it.

The picture on the convertor for the gg is hit and miss...some games its fine, others, not so much. Like its good for Double Dragon, and Zillion, but not at all useful for say astro warrior.
