I've got some free time coming up and I'd like to see a British classic arcade. Any UK natives know of any? I'd love to go to the pinball museum in Kent, but it's only open on weekends, and that doesn't work with my work schedule :(

I have not seen a classic arcade in the UK since the early-mid 90`s ;-)
The best arcades i ever knew in the later stages were Daviles in Birmingham and Coral Island in Blackpool but even that has changed

It's been a good number of years since I was there, but I had found a good arcade in Bournemouth. Not a whole lot of classics, but overall a good place. Not too far from the beach too!

Didn't older issues of Retro Gamer keep track of arcades that were still operating?

They did, but I was hoping there'd be at least one Funspot-style place in England. I guess arcades just weren't as big here as they were in the states. There is a pinball museum in Kent that I plan on going to, though.

There used to be one by the sea car park in Lee on Solent; near Fareham in Hampshire, although I haven't been there for several years.
Pity, old style arcades were fun.
