View Full Version : Having issues with new hong kong 360 20gb hard drive...

I can only get it to read and format as USB storage device when connected with the transfer cable. I can't get it to read at all when plugged into the side. Anyone know of an easy way to format this correctly so that can plug it in the side and have it function properly?

Stop buying HDs for $2 shipped.
Most of those drives have modified firmware or some other nonsense and will likely never work. SOME are legit - but most are refurbished drives with modded firmware.

thanks for the input, worst comes to worst, i'll just keep using it as a "usb storage device" unless someone can help me to format it correctly. Tried contacting the ebay seller, but i'm sure i'll just get a message full of engrish offering me to return it for a replacement with return shipping at my expense... $2 shipped will always be the magic price...
