I have just started playing imports on my Dreamcast recently, using the "Innovation Super Game Converter". When I was playing the import version of "Sword of the Berzerk" for a while, my Dreamcast "rebooted" for lack of a better term, and could not read the disc anymore. I then put in the Game Converter again, loaded up the game, and then it ran for a while again until it "rebooted" again. This happened in more or less the same spot in the game each time as well... (after the first stage) Can anyone help me with this problem?

Nope, I never had a problem with my Innovation import game adapter before even I play my import Shenmue 2 dreamcast game.Maybe it's the import adapter disc.Did you try returning the import game adapter to the place where you bought it.Maybe that will help.

My dreamcast hasn't had any problems playing imports period. However admittedly, I haven't tried Sword of the Berserk import either.
However, my UK Rez and UK Soul Calibur have been known to occasionally go screwy on me, but I always assumed that was the fault of the 50/60 Hz change. you know, randomly switching back to 60.

Mark, I doubt this is linked with playing imports. Play a domestic game for a while and see if it happens as well.
Resetting Dreamcasts is a common and well known problem, and also easy to fix.
I wont go into detail here as I'm sure if you search the board you can find more info, but the pins that link the main boards and the power board probably need cleaning.

Actually, the ONLY time it ever happened was while playing an import game in the above circumstances. In other words, it has never happened while playing a domestic game in all the time I have owned my Dreamcast. (over a hear and a half now.) Thanks for the advice regarding the resetting Dreamcasts... I had no idea that it was such a common occurence... I will look into it...
