This trailer makes the game look ridiculously good and faithful to the original. Graphics look great, and the gameplay looks practically the same. I can't wait for this to come out.
What do you guys think?

Looks like I had hoped it would. Seems very faithful. I'll pick it up for sure.

I was never a fan of NBA Jam, but I do say I enjoy the direction they're taking with the graphical style.

If this goes on PSN/XBL for 5.00 and has online then I'll get it. If it's single player then I'll skip it. The game really is great when you're playing with someone but kind of boring when playing alone.

i cant see this game staying on the wii. im not saying making it for the wii was a bad decision but ps3/360 would of been a better option.

its too simple of a game to release it on a disc on the 360/ps3, but it is too expensive (nba license) to make it a downloadable game

This looks great, honestly I hate sports and sports games but NBA Jam was always one of my favorites in the 16-bit era.

Agreed. And really that would be the format that makes the most sense, IMO.

Same here.
It does look really good in the way they just updated the visuals and left pretty much everything else alone. The players faces just look a bit creepy to me though. Like they are just a tad too big and almost bobble heads.

I think it has something to do with original NBA Jam creator Mark Turmell working for EA.

I think it has something to do with original NBA Jam creator Mark Turmell working for EA.
From what I read, they were actually developing a basketball game, and what ended up happening was someone saying "If we're going to make an NBA Jam game, we may as well make NBA Jam", which led them to go and acquire the rights from Midway. Mark Turmell didn't come in until later. I want to say I read wherever the interview was on Kotaku, but I'm not sure.
