Mega Man winning the third spot by a narrow margin last time. I'm casting my vote for Mega Man 6 again. I know a lot of people dislike this one, but I think it's very well made, but just on the easy side of the series.
I'm not going to add Bass and Forte to the voting since I'm only covering 1-10. And we already started voting. :)

Jump jump. Slide slide. I can finish that part no problem with the volume off. I jump too early because of the stupid audio telling me when to jump or slide. Mega Man 8 is a great game though.

Why not change/update your original post with your new poll instead of making a new thread each time?

Because I can't edit the poll.

And I was talking about Mega Man & Bass (SNES), and Rockman and Forte (SFC).

Dude seriously, what the hell. You don't get points for making threads.

What's your problem, stop posting in these threads. This is just for fun...

I agree with Malon. Unless you can think of some more efficient way of ranking them.

Don't say I didn't warn you!

Seriously though, I still think this is pointless, especially because the last poll was by such a narrow margin. Give the same poll again a year from now and you'll get a different answer.

But, it appears there are people who like these threads, so more power to you!

Hey, I just get uppity when I see the same thing over and over again... sets off my OCD. Carry on, do your thing.

I'm sure we'll all look for this in the archives someday.

Seems like we got a close one here.

I'm surprised at two things:
1. This hasn't been done sooner, at least to my knowledge.
2. People are jumping on Malon quicker than they normally jump on people who make excessive threads... like a certain user who has calmed down as of recent.

The Genesis version has certain advantages over the NES games, particularly, Doc Robots that function correctly.

Interesting to see how this list is turning out. I can understand 2 being first, though the story and design were always below the perfect gameplay for me. I always felt that 3 was the other way around, having perfect design, music, and story, but without being as enjoyable to play through.

In my biased opinion, the six on NES are pure gold, but I was really into Mega Man when I was a kid. Going by balance of elements, I'd say 4 should be next on the list. 5 is good, but it started becoming more of the same. 6 might be behind 7 for me, and I'd probably rank 9 and 10 above 7. 8 is pretty low for me, I never thought it hit the nail on the head as far as evolving the series. If 8 were on SNES, things would be different.

Since 6 is in the lead, I will say that it's up there as far as production values. I just don't have fond memories of the gameplay.

The controls in 6 were a bit more sticky than the other NES titles for some reason. Nothing major, just something that you notice here and there.

I like 6 because like 3 it at least tried something a little new gameplay wise with the rush adapters. The music is also highly underrated, and some of the robot masters are pretty interesting.
