I'm, sorry but I don't know if this is the right board for this. I had to order a cheap aftermarket controller off of ebay I complained because he didnt send me the one in the picture, I got the guy to send me a different controller that is probably going to be just as cheap. Then I ordered one off of Amazon for exactly 5 dollars with free shipping so I have no idea on how that is going to turn out, it's in a 1 LB package. I don't know if 1 LB is excessive or too little for it to be a real controller.
EDIT: I'm looking for good Price with a legit brand name controller.
EDIT 2: I'm not looking to buy one from someone here, so this doesn't belong in the Buy/Sell board. because I don't have any money right now, and I don't think anyone would give me a decent price

Ebay is probably the best bet. You just have to make sure the seller is using their own photo of the controller, states it's the official one in the listing, and is not a stock photo.

Ebay has people selling the brand name ones for like 20. I don't want to spend like 20 on a controller thats not worth that much.

I know a local place that has them cheaper than that, but don't know if he has any left.

You could always hold out until you find one in the wild. Used game stores have them often.

There are no Stores near where I live, like I said in the map topic the only store I had access to closed down, (damn it was a good store, all their SNES games for 5 dollars), and I dont know if the Flea Market near where I live is any good or if it is even open.

I would love one, but like I said I am out of cash right now. Also this isnt the board to be asking to buy stuff.

Because I don't know if the one I bought off of Amazon is a real one or a cheap knock off.
EDIT: I haven't gotten it yet.

Thats the asian but official version of the 6 button controller. I'm not sure if their quality is as good as that of the US or European ones, which is the reason I didn't order any...

I don't want to import a controller. :(

I routinely see them at thrift stores in the area, both 3 and 6 button varieties. I didn't know there was much of a market for them, so I just leave them. I can check next time I'm in there and pick some up if you want. They usually charge a buck or two.

I really don't think there is a market for them, just people who mark up the price on legit controllers because Ebay is flooded with knock-offs. I happen to want a good controller because I got the urge to play 16-bit Street Fighter II on a 16-bit console. I could play it on SNES but I want to play it on the Genesis too to see the differences first-hand.

EDIT: Also I wont have money for a few weeks.

Can't help you there...that's life. If they were cheap, they'd already be gone by now.

I've got a whole bunch at the GOAT Store:

http://www.goatstore.com/Products/Sega/Genesis/?product=321265

New, old stock turbo controllers from Sega. Bought a ton in bulk for a project that didn't happen. Great controllers too!

Oh - and I think these are more common, as I think they have may actually come from the Majesco remake of the Genesis when they did the Genesis 3. Just as good as the original though if that is true, and they look identical.

I'd order 2 if the shipping costs to Europe weren't almost the same as the price of the 2 controllers together.

Sorry, those are actual shipping costs -- blame the post office :( I'd love to be able to send them cheaper, but I do this as a hobby, so it makes it difficult.
