I'm a huge fan of the beat'em up genre, I'm wondering whats some of your favorite beat'em ups? It can be from NES-Current. Doesn't matter what region its on, Rather not mention arcades, There are too many on there. I want to find some more console ones to enjoy...

Also. Already posted God Hand but because of Therealqtips response I just wanted to post this. I honestly don't think any other beat em up is in the same league as God Hand when it comes to gameplay.

My favourite beat 'em up is probably Mystical Fighter for the Genesis. Nobody I know in real life has ever heard of it but I'm sure some of you guys have played it. It's like Golden Axe (also a personal favourite) but centered around Japanese mythology.

Amen. RoDD was a sick, sick beat 'em up.

I always loved The Combatribes. Thought it was unique in that the levels were very short and spanned what, 3-4 screens? Found it realistic as in real life that's the territory a gang controls. Had a lot of fun playing this back in the day with my brother and friends.

One beat-em-up that I personally find very disappointing and had high expectations of are Knights of the Round (SNES). The arcade version is slightly better though but still.. Also, Final Fight 3 is great fun but WAY to easy even on hard-mode.

I forgot about that thread because at the beginning of the thread he basically seemed to mention games that were stylish action games and not pure beat em up titles. Stuff like Devil May Cry, God of War, etc.

My favourite one lately is Beats of Rage for Dreamcast.
Some of the mods are pretty hacky, but some of them are terrific.

I did say Dreamcast! Whoops! Well, Die Hard Arcade for Saturn and Dynamite Cop for Dreamcast are both fantastic games, so you can't really go wrong with either one!
