Question about Quitar Hero

So... Im pretty mad right now. You wanna know why? I just bought Guitar Hero Aerosmith. Awesome, right? NO!

The version is for the ps3 and I live in europe. Just thought I'd tell ya, 'cause that might affect someting. The matter is that my Rock Band-Guitar wont work with it! Everyone I have talked to, have said that the rock band-guitars work with Guitar Hero and vice versa, but GH:A thinks that my quitar is just a regular controller, which means that when I press the green button, it plays the orange button and when I play the orange button of the smaller "solo" set of buttons, it plays the red one.

Those are the only ones that work. Anyone know what the problem might be?

Welcome to PS3 and their butchered guitar peripherals! The Rock Band stuff does not work with the Guitar Hero stuff and vice versa on the PS3. Sony allowed them to make their equipment that way. The Rock Band/GH equipment for the 360 is interchangable, so your friends might have confused that with what you have.

In my experience though the 360 Rock Band controllers work for GH:WT but not any GH game before that.

I cannot wait till they come out with Sitar Hero. That way we can all buy even more controllers that only work with one game!

I didn't think Rock Band controllers worked with Guitar Hero games. I remember plugging in a Rock Band guitar to GH (2? 3?), and it saying something like "unrecognized guitar controller", but it sure know it was a guitar controller...

Zither, Mandolin, Herdy Gerdy, and Viola hero would kick ass too.

Then again, if Skin Flute Hero came out, I know a few who would have platinum trophies on Day 1.

All PS3 Guitar Hero controllers work with all Rock Band games.

Rock Band controllers work with all Guitar Hero games on PS3 except GH 3 and GH Aerosmith.

Unfortunately, it looks like it hasn't been updated in a while, as there have been plenty of releases that aren't included. Maybe you can just equate the newer games with the most recent GH or RB listed.

Consider yourself lucky that there exists a guitar for PS3 that will work with all the games. Wii owners are especially screwed by incompatibilities.

Only guitar hero guitar works with guitar hero. Also when trying to use the solo button add guitars it does not work with any of the games before guitar hero 4 because the solo buttons are for rope notes and no guitar hero before 4 featured it.
