Bought this today for $10. Cart only, in really good shape. Label is faded a little, but that's the only flaw. Never heard of the game and doesn't seem to be a very common seller. Just curious of the value.

You have yourself quite the steal there at $10 good job. I really think it's higher than R4 much like Metal Warriors. I only see one on eBay for a BIN of $75 that may be a bit much but I'd guess $40-50. Does anyone here think Metal Warriors and Hagane are a bit harder to find than the rarity guide suggests? I have never seen them in my life only on eBay and even then there's few copies.

Hagane must have gone up in value over the last few years has I remember it being worth $5-10 a few years ago. I do see one that finished at just over $40 shipped on eBay and one for $50 plus shipping that didn't get a single bid and with a reserve price so that could have discouraged anyone that would have been on the fence about throwing a bid down hoping to win at the opening price.

Even if people did get a little bid happy on the $40 copy it's still safe to bet that $10 is gonna be better then a copy that sells on the cheaper end online.

Cool, thanks for the input. I'm happy with spending $10 on it. Also picked up Mega Man x3 for $15 so certainly a good day.

I would say $40 is about the going rate. I had one w/ a torn label that pulled in $30.

Hagane became one of those way-late sleeper hits. I rented it when I was younger and loved the game. Could never find one in store to buy though. Got mine in the marketplace here a few years ago IIRC. That was a good day! :D

High ends seems to be ~50/120 (loose/CIB)

I've seen a few copies of Metal Warriors (some loose, one boxed and one CIB) but I've never seen a copy of Hagane in the wild.

I'm surprised this game is that expensive. I bought a loose copy a couple of years ago for $10 on Ebay.

I don't think it's all that too rare, but I think it's a case of Hudson Soft + Asianness = interest.

Hmm. I've never seen a copy of this game, ever. And that's after 7 years working in a game store.

More specific; Hudson/Red + Robot + Ninja + Good gameplay (not best, but top teir)
