I got steel batallion this afternoon with the controller from my local game store, and I'm lookin to clean it up - grime around the buttons, etc. I found some internals and take apart pics so thats covered.
However, I have one other problem. Part of one of the toggle switches is damaged (the oxygen supply one). It looks like the metal end of the switch got pulled off somehow - I would imagine the switch itself still works, theres just no way to toggle it without perhaps a pin or a spudger. Am I going to need to replace that switch entirely? Is there there an easy way to fashion a new one?

Here is a pic for reference (toggle switches are towards the bottom)

You can probably just put in a new toggle switch. It's impossible to tell without seeing the whole switch. Take some pics when you get it apart.

As you can see, the switch itself seems intact, but the metal piece that came through the control panel has been removed.

I don't know if there's an off-the-shelf replacement for the switch, but it kind of looks like its been repaired before.
What's the stuff on the switch's metal housing? It kinda looks like it may have been glued.

Probably dust or something similar, the switch comes out of an open hole and this stick had some crud buildup when I got it (had to clean out something sticky out of the buttons and in between the 3 parts of the CP). I think the original metal tab of the switch had been glued to the rest of it though yeah.

Maybe I'll drop by lowes and see if there isnt something similar I can cut down and mount there.
