Intellivision Repair

I have an Intellivision which has decided to not turn on this year. I don't know as much about it as I do my NES or SNES so I am very cautious about trying any repair attempts on my own. My local game shop which sells retro carts, however, wont even think about touching it. Does anyone have experience with Intellivision repair, or knows someone in the Houston, TX area willing to help? I have googled what I can about it, and even found a few sites with User Mannuals and such, but as I said I'm not confident in my self enough to do more than stare at it hopelessly.

I can look at it, but by the time you pay for repairs, you can buy one off of eBay.

Also I know it would probably cost the same but I'm sentimental... If it was just about collecting I would simply play with this one for the experience then buy a new one.
