For years since I bought it, I've had my dandelion GBC in its original box with all the documentation inside. There isn't so much as a tiny scratch on it. I can't seem to find other GBCs still in box to compare to. Has anyone seen this handheld CIB around? I'm not sure how much it would probably go for. :-/

You got a picture of the box?

If you're looking to sell it, Amazon would probably be a great place for it. People on there pay a lot of money for stuff like CIB handhelds.

Hmm. I was about to post things on Amazon once, but the sign-up section for sellers put me under the impression that it is reserved for businesses only. I went through a lot of the documentation on the site and nowhere could I find an explicit statement stating only businesses are allowed to sell, not personal/private entities. So I'm still not sure what I can do there.
As for pictures, would love to post some if I had a decent camera. Would have to borrow my brother's again since I don't have one. I should get one of my own, they must be cheap by now with like... 3 megapixels or so. LOL

Dude, take a lot of pictures and put it on Ebay. They are going for around $50 opened, and more for sealed ones. Just do a search for it under the GameBoy > Systems category.
I got a nice lot a year ago: CIB 1990 GameBoy (with original Toys R Us receipt from 1990), CIB Gargoyle's Quest, and CIB Metroid 2 for $80. Considering Metroid 2 goes for around $50 and Gargoyle's Quest CIB is very rare, it was a killer deal.

I'm not a business but I sell stuff on Amazon. All you need is a bank account that they can deposit the money into. That's it.

I dunno, $50 seems like A LOT for a GBC, no matter the condition.
I just did a completed Ebay auction search for Yellow Game Boy Color systems, and found a Complete in Box one, identical to the one posted in this thread that sold for $20.
Just the loose handhelds alone are only worth 5 bucks, 10 at most if someone really wants it.
As nice as that Gameboy Color is that you have there, it's not worth much really.
I'd just put it back in the closet for another 10 years.

Sounds like Oldskool did better research. The truth is GameBoy Color machines were sold by the pallet, and the best way to play GBC games is on an Advance SP, so there seems to be no demand for it.

No one that wants a GBC to play would care that it came in a box. You wouldn't be selling this to some kid. The idea that there's no demand for this is downright silly. People collect them.
Please look this up on Amazon and see what it sells for on there. Please. I can verify that CIB GBCs do in fact sell on there. The system alone (without the battery cover!) is listed at $25. I've sold other GBCs for $20~25 (usually the atomic purple one as I seem to get a lot of them and they seem to be really popular).

Also, here it is for $50 on Ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/NINTENDO-GAME-BOY-COLOR-BOXED-DANDELION-YELLOW-RARE-/160423227028?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Video_Games&hash=item2559f82e94) - but again I wouldn't trust nor bother w/ open market for something like this.

Exactly this. I would imagine anyone who would want to buy it wants it for a collection, and specifically wants the GBC to be CIB. I can't imagine any kid getting a GBC, at all, since I doubt even used GBAs or GBA SPs are expensive anymore, and of course those handle GBC carts as well as GBA as a plus.
I'm not in a hurry to rush this thing out of here. It still looks good on the shelf with all the CIB GB/GBC/GBA games stacked one after another behind it. Maybe if the scarcity of CIB GBCs becomes more severe... I'll see. But I wanted to get an idea what its value might be floating around at this time, and from here it doesn't look compelling enough to give it up.
Oh, as for the Amazon question, it's all resolved; thanks for the info, all those who posted about it.

I don't see any CIB GBCs for sale.

I can only say what I would list it for, which is $50+Amazon fees+extra for shipping (for Priority Mail flat rate + DC & Insurance). I personally think it would sell fairly quickly like that, but again I've only sold the Atomic Purples as system only (or system & a game) for around $25 or so. But the one CIB GBC I sold on there sat for three weeks and I got $50 out of it (paid $25 for it).
