I have this game and was considering selling off my INTV collection next. I think this is a little high, but I want your opinions. I also have Fathom, and Congo Bongo I plan on selling. I couldn't find any listed fathom's but saw Congo end for 440 and $50.

The description says "like new. complete" which probably explains why it went for so much. A loose copy would not sell for nearly that much I think.

Yeah, loose is roughly $30-$50

The box is much more tough to find Dave, I wouldn't doubt that would have hit higher if the BIN wasn't used.

Hi everybody,

I actually came on this site to try and get the powers-that-be to change the rather daft rarity ratings on the Inty games.... Turbo is listed rarity 6 and should be about a 9 I reckon, and Tutankham and Super Cobra are rarity 8, and they should be about 5 I reckon (I just got another Super Cobra for 5 Euros on eBay.fr)

In the meantime, to answer that original question, no, it's not what it usually goes for ... yet. Plus the Coleco version seems slightly, but only slightly, more common than the CBS version (say, about 8 rarity?)

I got lucky - I paid about $100 (it was £70) for two Intys (one was knackered but I resurrected it! :-) ) and 36 boxed games including Super Cobra and an unboxed Masters of the Universe (very scarce on this side of the pond, I reckon) and Turbo! with instructions!

I wish DP did rarities of European games properly, they're way out at times..

Man your first post and your already bashing the DP guide.

Truthfully spirantho, I've said this before and I'll say it again. The guide books are nothing more than a complete list of games. DP guide does and awesome job with descriptions and extra information about the game. The price lists, I don't even read or the rarity rating. Guides should not be held to as exact law, especially with ebay around.

I thought $125 was a good price for a complete one. I've seen in the past couple of months. Collectors paying top dollar for games they want to finish off their collection. I think DV is right and that this possibly could have hit higher, but the seller was happy with $125.

Hi,

I think perhaps you`re overstating things - or more probably just misinterpreting what I said. I don`t mean to bash the guide, heck, why should I - it's an extremely good resource, both online and offline. I was just trying to point out that it's very US-centric, and I don`t think anyone on the DP site would dispute that, hence why I would like to help make the guide accurate! If you don`t read the rarity ratings then that's fine, but don`t take it out on the people who want to keep then accurate for those of us who do!

Now can we accept that I maybe phrased things wrongly and you maybe over-reacted slightly and then we can all get on like adults (albeit video-game playing ones!)

Again, no offence intended to anybody, they're doing a fine job, but it's not perfect yet!

In the DP guide volume 6, Turbo was a rarity 9, but was downgraded since and quite honestly the game has shown up on ebay quite a bit lately. Tutankham and Super Cobra were hardly ever seen except just recently they have popped up more here in the states. Considering they are European releases, I would expect them to be much easier to find in Europe.

Ummm...... yeah it is US-centric, considering that is the majority of the audience for the guide. Please read one of the first things Joe states in the beginning of the guide. "It is a guide" You also need to realize that market conditions can change drastically for certain games. Stadium Events for the NES used to be rated a 4! (In volume 5 of guide). I consider the guides as a "work in continuous progress" as it is tweaked and fine tuned as the times change. It NEVER will be perfect.

Considering the time and effort it takes to make this guide, I am amazed at the detail and quality of it. Joe and the staff should be commended for it. Just remember to take guide for what it is. If you think something should have a more scarce rating, you can always bring it up as a topic on this board. There are thousands of us out here who are more than willing to help you out.

Yeah I have a comment...Vindicators for NES isn't listed in the book. Theres another game that isn't listed, but I can't remember what it is...maybe Miracle Piano for NES....I could be wrong on Miracle though, it could just be a pack in game.

OK, for the INTV games, they are loose cartr only but cart and stickers are in great shape.

Also I've been getting alot of emails and pm's but no one is making offers. First person to make me an offer thats acceptable, gets the game.

I am looking for NES books, boxes, and manuals that I need. my list is at

www.angelfire.com/hero/nesgod

I also would take SNES common games in trade

No offense taken! And trust me when I say that I never take it personally when the book is criticized in this manner. It's constructive criticism and you're essentially directing me to areas that need improvement. If the database doesn't continue to improve, then it becomes useless.

I'll Email you as well but you haven't given me much detail other than your opinion on Turbo, Tutankham and Super Cobra... I'd like to know where else the Intellivision section is way off. And we really don't mean to be US-centric but you're absolutely correct in stating that it appears we are. We have help from all over the world but ultmately the core of editors are fairly local and chat, meet, and drink beer together frequently :)

So I'd like more details please! Help me help you.

THIS has been addressed numerous times and was resolved in September 2002! You must not have seen the ADDENDUM yet - go to http://www.digitpress.com/lists.htm and download it, as it contains all kinds of updates from the August 2002 book.
