Just started in beta, and so far they just have NES, SNES, GB, GBC, N64, Genesis, SCD, and 2600 (?)
But it's a great start!
Yes, you do have to pay a fee for trading there ($1), but I think it's well worth not having to deal with GameTZ.
As announced, Retro gaming is coming to Goozex.
I know there are many members who requested this feature in the past and that are eager to start trading this type of games. While we are happy to extend the Goozex system with Retro platforms, we are also aware that this type of games may pose new challenges compared to the products we have supported so far.
The Retro gaming is therefore launched in "Public Beta": we will appreciate your support and feedback on this extension, while we keep building it.
Thank you and enjoy Retro games!

LOL really? I'm the opposite, I guess. I hate goozex and much prefer GTZ.

When I first saw the thread title I thought it said "zoosex.com". I'm glad it's actually something else instead. Very glad.

It was something about them trading retro games, and then I looked again and I noticed it was something else instead. I wondered why someone would post a thread about zoo sex video game trading but there's that whole Rapelay thread which is going on about fetishes so anything is possible.

I've been using Goozex for a couple of years, and I've had nothing but good experiences with it. I'm really glad that they've added retro stuff after all this time, though no Saturn stuff is a glaring omission.
I haven't gotten any retro stuff from Goozex yet, but I've traded a few things, and I hope I can find some good trade fodder this garage sale season to put up on there and hopefully get a few nice things. :)

It's odd but I can't say I've ever heard of a zoo sex video game. Lots of other weird and obscure fetishes, but not that one. And you'd think w/ all the "furry" characters in games it would have happened long ago.

I'm bumping this topic rather than making a new one...
I'm thinking about trying Goozex, but how does the shipping work? They give you a label to print, but how do they cover weight and stuff? Is it like NetFlix where they have a USPS shipping permit? I'm guessing that I need to supply my own packing?

NayusDante you can pay for the shipping on Goozex through Paypal and I think they may have another way or two to pay as well. I usually just print the label on there or write the address down and I go to Paypal and do the shipping their since it is cheaper. I usually drop the game in a padded envelope. I have not sent any boxed games that would need extra protection.
I have got a ton of cart only NES games I needed since Goozex started doing retro games. For the most part the games are in pretty good shape but I have got a few dirty ones or ones with condition issues such as marker or messed up labels.
For the most part I really like Goozex but it does have a few flaws. If you get a game not in good condition there isnt much you can do if the game works. You can mention it in your feedback but you cant really leave a negative unless the game doesnt work.

And what about CIB games? For example, I'm interested in GameBoy and GameBoy Color only if they are complete.

It's so weird that they include Sega CD, but not Saturn.

Wait, so you have to pay your own shipping? That makes perfect sense, but kinda hurts my perceived value of a trade...

You pay to send the items out, and the people who send you your game pay the shipping to you.
It works fine if the game is small, but sometimes the shipping cost isn't worth it.

I'm trying to calculate the threshold of value for what I should eBay and what I should put on there...
It costs me around $2.40 to ship a loose NES game. If 100 points is equal to $5, I'd be trading those 100 point games for $2.60 in credit after my shipping costs. To get a high-value game, say 400 points, I'd have to trade 4 loose NES games. I would have already invested $9.60, and gotten $10.40, which goes into a "$20.00" game. That would be like trading $9.60 and four NES games for the example I'm using, Grandia Xtreme, which I just saw CIB at GameStop for $15.00.
I guess it's worth it. Higher value games would probably be better, but it seems like a better idea than listing stuff on eBay for $0.99 auctions that get one bid. I'll throw a few games up there and see how it goes.

Here's the way I see it.
I trade Splinter cell. It's a 100 point game.
It's no good to me at all.
I pay $2 to ship it,
but in exchange, I get an xbox 360 game I don't have.
If you start thinking dollars, you'll end up disappointed.
But, if you start thinking trades, it's just the same as GameTZ,
and is a pretty hassle-free way of doing things
(I really like the auto-matchmaking)

Except for the whole not being able to ask about the condition of the game.
It's a gamble. I got burned enough times to abandon the site with 500 points I can't use. The cost algorithm is totally messed up, I keep seeing $1 games with 500 point prices.

I just saw their "printable envelope..."
http://www.goozex.com/trading/asp/myaccount_printenvelopes.asp
Has anyone actually... done that?
At any rate, I like the prospect of trading old games for movies I want (http://www.goozex.com/trading/asp/itemdetail.asp?item=188282). I'm definitely going to be trading some stuff over the next few weeks. I see there's a lot of waiting involved, but that seems preferable to eBay fees.

YES. You mean they haven't FIXED THAT?! I told them to change the wording on that thing so people don't send stuff inside that thing over TWO YEARS AGO and they haven't changed that?!
FUCK!

I've been on the site for 3 years and only had one problem. I was quickly reimbursed my points and trade token. Honestly other then that I sing nothing but praises for the site.
Also I have never received or sent out a game in the printable envelope, it's a douchy thing to do, and you never hear to much complaining about it because most people don't do it. Hell, the last 3 games I was matched for I received in 2 days!
I LOVE the new retro feature, I listed about 125 genny games and have been matched with about 30 people looking for them, sadly I haven't been home much these days so there is a 'vacation mode' you can set your account to.
Shameless plug- if anyone wants to try the site and use my sig, I'll receive a free trade token after you send your first trade!:) Just enter my handle in the 'referred by' option. Or there are a few other folks around here with goozex sigs.
I've told a couple folks at DP who asked me about it at and they are allready trading like crazy. (I'll let them voice in if they care to)
Even if you don't use a sig to join, I would at least TRY the site out! I was very hesitant at first but I've gotten a shitload of my xbox games through them hassle free.
Where else are you gonna get $5 for A 2600 common?

Already sent out my loose copy of Marko's Magic Football, and I have a few NES carts with iffy labels that I'm waiting to hear back on before I accept the trades. Also, they don't have separate listings or consideration for things like Tengen/Nintendo cart variations, or greatest hits labels, so it slows things down a bit.
Their shipping is almost a full $1 over what PayPal costs me, I'll stick with PayPal.

I'm loving the site. I've gotten a bunch of stuff I would have never found in the wild there, and I'm able to get rid of a bunch of games I never would have played otherwise.
The ONLY issue I have is that I'm too picky about cib, so I mark all my requests as full package. Understandably, it's harder to get cib games so I tend to sit for long periods where the system can't match me for something I want, but when it does, I'm usually very happy.

I love Goozex but I do wish they would do something about the condition issue. With that being said since Goozex started doing retro games I have got about 70 games sent to me mostly NES. Only two or three of these have had condition issues.
I have a bunch of NES doubles with writing on them but I have been reluctant to put them on there because I wouldnt want to receive them.

I'm just taking pictures of any less-than-perfect carts and sending them in PMs before I confirm the trades.
It's not a big deal to remove writing from NES games, just use alcohol. If you can't, just make sure the requester knows before you send it.

Yea, I was kind hoping that would come off quicker since I had gotten a game or two.
