I've been noticing auctions for the Japanese version of Phantom Dust that describe the game as a "limited edition". They usually post pictures of deluxe bonuses and the like, but I have yet to see anything more than the game case and manual. The price is always more even though both listed versions look the same.
Is this a mess-up, or does a limited edition really exist?

There's definitely a Limited Edition out there, but I can't figure out what's supposed to be in it. The LE's I've seen on eBay uses stock pictures, so I imagine there's nothing more to it than a OST or something.

Wow, I wonder how hard to find it is. Maybe that's why prices are kinda big, but you can never really tell with eBay BINs.

I do have JPN LE version but it was few years since I handled.
From fuzzy memory don't think there's anything extra other than usual case, manual, and disc... But then again my memory isn't what it used to be... -__-;

Alot of the Japanese versions for Xbox games had limited editions(Otogi, Jet Set Radio Future, WWF Raw, etc).

I recently talked to someone who claimed that the L.E. had Japanese and English voice acting, plus another in-game feature. Don't know if it's true or not.
If it is true, that's probably why you only remember a regular package. Physical extras were apparently not included.

Maybe I shall dig it up and give it a spin to see what are those extra in-game feature.
Can't recall whether it had JPN/ENG voice though~
