I have a PAL SNES game I couldn't get working on a NTSC-U SNES with either a Pro Action Replay MK1 or MK2.

Could I get it working if I desoldered the PAL CIC Lockout Chip and soldered in a NTSC CIC Lockout chip?

If this game is programmed to be able to withstand these methods of lockout circumvention, it's quite possible that it's also been programmed to run only in 50hz mode and display an error in 60hz(usually the late release, first party titles). If possible, I'd suggest you test it on a console with lockout disabled and a 50hz/60hz switch to make sure it will work before going to the effort of soldering a new CIC in. Other than that, I think it would work.

Eh, the game isn't a terrible loss, just an interesting curiosity.

If you mod the SNES console itself, you'll be able to run it, unless its a SNES model 2 (quite complicated)..

What game is it? Does it give a 50/60Hz warning screen, or nothing at all? If your PAR2 has a 2.x BIOS (blue background) it should be able to handle it, or possibly with adding some codes...
