OK, this week we have a Neo Geo special! Shock Troopers is a game (as usual) that I wasn't too familiar with. So, I fired it up, and based on the 3 minutes or so I played, I found it to be a fun update of a Commando-style game.

Setting guys on fire = way more fun than it should be.

I don't know much beyond that for now. I will play much more of it through the week though, as I like Commando type games.

It's a big ROM file this week, I have started the uploading process, but it may take a while. Remember, just head to http://drop.io/dpmameclub to get it.

I also will add in all the other fun stuff that this thread needs, but it's bed time right now :)

Should you post the Neo Geo Bios as well? I'm pretty sure their games won't run without it.

Its not bad as far as it goes... Good selection of different characters with somewhat different abilities.

Wow, seriously? That's it for participation?

I enjoyed this game quite a bit. Like I said though, I really enjoy the Commando-style game, and this is definitely an amped up version of one. I really hope more people give this one a try.

I forgot to post, but I couldn't get the game to work. It said there were missing files (and yes, I do have the bios). I tried on 2 versions of Mame but maybe I'm still a little out of date?

Possibly, I'm using .135u4, and the ROM I downloaded was the most recent available. I dunno, I'm posting a new game here in a few minutes.

I like this game. It's like those SNK south American war games, but you don't need that damn rotary joystick. I figured out a strategy that seemed good, remember to use the roll alot and don't advance the screen until all enemies are clear. Using that method I survived to the end of stage 1, but time ran out.

1,768,500 on one credit.

By the way, this is one of those games that doesn't reset the score when you use a continue credit. :shameful:
