I heard that, back in the day, you could call a certain number to have Alfred Chicken (the main character of "Alfred Chicken" for the NES) give a promotional speech about the game. Does anybody know what it said or what it sounded like? Did anybody record it to preserve. I just find this sort of thing very interesting, and it reminds me of the Charles Martinet pre recording that I got from Gamestop after pre-ordering NSMB Wii.

Nope don't have it. Also when you pre-ordered the 2009 ghostbusters at gamestop I got a message from rays character letting me know when the game came in. Didn't save it tho.

I remember calling that and the Skuljagger line. The Alfred Chicken line was a guy doing a chicken voice very slowly and making very overpronounced buh-kaw's. It was lame.

Yep. If you've ever seen the SNL commercial (parody) about the Cluckin' Chicken (with Adam Sandler providing the chicken voice), that's pretty much what the Alfred Chicken phone line sounded like. My friends I called it several times because it was so awful, and apparently we got a kick out of it. I actually planned to record it but never got around to it. Now I'm bummed I didn't.
