Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow will be released for PS2 on June 1st. Dark Mirror took a year to get a PS2 port, and around that time, Logan's Shadow was also announced. That was back in 2007. Now it's actually happening. I'd assumed Sakura Wars was going to be the last decent PS2 game, but now, this.

Don't forget SNK Arcade Classics Volume 0. It's composed of 20 of SNK's pre NeoGeo titles. Those were SNK's glory years (In my opinion, not a fan of 2d fighters) and is a collection many here will be interested in.
Just have to hope for a North American release.
I wish Namco would bring Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception and the upcoming Ace Combat: Joint Assault to the Playstation 2. Both deserved a console port, but for some reason they've never showed interest despite the success of the previous three Ace Combat titles on the PS2.

... Please tell me they got a decent company doing the port instead of Terminal Reality. Anyone's better than those morons.

G1M2 is doing the development work (They're responsible for the better recieved SNK collections and Data East Arcade Classics).

Oh I hope to God the SNK comp comes to the states. I have every other one on the PS2 and love them for what they are. The Samurai Showdown Anthology one really rocked!

I don't care what kind of game it is, shovelware, sports rehash, or titles worth investing time into, I have a soft spot for consoles that carry on well into the next generation of gaming. I loved to purchase late release NES, SNES and PS1 games, because they were rather peculiar when everyone seemed to be flocking to the latest thing. I'll do the same with the PS2 (already have two copies of Sakura Wars. I also purchased NHL 2K10, NBA 2K10, MLB 10, MLB 2K10, MotorStorm: Arctic Edge and Jurassic: The Hunted - I don't descriminate much as you can see lol - still need a copy of the latest Silent Hill though). Right now it looks like I'll be adding at least seven more new PS2 games to my collection as the year wears on.
Here's hoping Sony keeps the PS2 kicking as a gamer's console. I could see the PS2 thriving again if Sony (or it's licensors) released some cool stuff, maybe even on a more limited scale. I could see gamers and collectors alike scarfing up new PS2 exclusives, especially true sequels to favorite franchises. People love the retro stuff, and the neo-retro wave would sell - if done right. SNK kept pumpking out games for Neo-Geo long after the console went belly up. I'd love to see the same thing here.

I might actually pick this up if it's not to expensive. I loved both PSP Syphon Filter games, and it's been so long since I've played it it'll almost be like it's a new SF game for me.

I'm still wondering why the hell Sony hasn't released a PS3 version of Syphon Filter yet. It is my absolute favorite Sony developed series of all time. Anyway, I picked up Dark Mirror when it got ported to PS2 and I will definitely be picking this one up as well.

I wonder this as well, but I do enjoy the continued support on the last-gen as well. But yeah, makes you wonder doesn't it, it would be sure to be a huge seller.
