Seen a few high end protos and similar items for sale on the bay lately, so I figured I'd test the waters myself. I think the listing pretty much sums it all up, Dream has a similar copy in a different stage of development and I know Martin has a Tengen Tetris proto, but I think Jason's copy and my own are the only two that are in he licensed by Nintendo phase.

Anyway, I'm taking offers and I'll all ears, so let me know if anyone is interested!

Unrealistically high? Yes, very much so. I put the price that high to get some extra traffic and hopefully receive an acceptable offer. I don't expect to get anywhere NEAR the full price, and I am very willing to hear offers.

Honestly, it's hard to put a number on it. On one hand it's historically significant and a marquee title, while on the other hand there's not a huge number of collectors that actively seek out such items. The fact that Dream, the most prominent prototype collector in the world, already has a similar prototype will likely eliminate some potential competition as well.

We were kind of hoping that this listing would generate some offers that could potentially shed some light on the 'value." So far, it hasn't really turned out that way.

And...

Yanked from Ebay. If anyone was interested in it and wants to make an offer, I'm all ears. If not, I'll just hold onto it until I can get it out to the community.

Thanks for all who were watching!

On what grounds was it yanked by e to the B?

Prototypes are a No-No on eBay. Someone had to report the listing as a "Beta" item, and eBay yanked it for violating their policy. The people that tend to flag this kind of item are also the people that aren't interested in purchasing prototype stuff. "Fun Police" killing the party.
