View Full Version : Mod:GBA SP screen into first-gen GBA?

Does anyone know if it's possible to mod a first-gen GBA to use a GBA SP (last version) screen? I'm starting to hate playing on the SP because it hurts my hands after a while, the pad is too sensitive, and the should buttons cramp my hands. I thought about getting an Afterburner mod but the screen quality is not the best. I have looked online but I can't find anybody that does it. Thanks!

ive never heard of anyone doing this and for some reason I have this feeling it is not possible. you can however buy a new lcd screen that would fit an old gba, that I have seen people do...

I've seen mods about using the GBA SP's front-light panel on a GBC but not on a GBA. I suppose that if that was possible someone would have done it by now.

No you can't mod a Gba to accept a backlit SP screen.
But you can mod a Gba to use a GBA frontlit screen light.

No you can take the frontlight out of a frontlit GbaSp and put it in a GBA.
