Holy shit, this is great news for the shooter fans out there. It's scheduled to be out September 25th. I really think the DC is gonna take after the Neo Geo, and have a few games released for it each year in Japan.

Nope, can't speak German, that's just the link that was posted at another site. I just spread the information over here. :-D

I can understand Ukrainian a little bit though. Can't speak it anymore.

Wow, that is good news indeed.

DreamCast > PS2 anyways.

I'd probably be able to invest more enthusiasm in this if I knew a little more about Border Down. Has anyone here played it?

While the Magic Box has a decent preview, the game's visuals look too much like G-Darius to excite me. I'd much rather a Dreamcast port of ESP Ra. De, but I guess shooter fans can't be too picky nowadays.

I'd heard this title mentioned, but I'd never seen it in action (did the cabs make it to the U.S.?). And just when I thought I'd completed my Dreamcast shmup collection! I'll probably have to pick it up. How does the game play? Manic? Bullet hell? Old-school? Gimmicky? Is it crunchable, precious?

<-- is huge fan of RayForce and G-Darius. Must. Buy. Border Down.

I though Rayforce was vertical scrolling. Eh, whatever.

This game should be good. I can't imagine any game truly ruining the dreamcast's high quality shmup lineup.

Wow--I didn't realize that Border Down was a horzie. That would be the DC's first, no?

Any relationship to Eliminate Down?

Border Down is friggin' brilliant. Best horizontal shmup I've ever played and best non-Takumi shmup on the Dreamcast :)

To answer your question in the other thread, it's far more rare than Radiant Silvergun but I doubt the game will ever get enough hype to drive the price up to the same levels.

seems as though the homebrew scene for my beloved DC is slowing down these days. :(

Not really. There's a french group making another shooter. There's a thread about it somewhere on shmups.com.

That's not the only shooter in the works either...

Border Down is totally rad.

Here's hoping that GRev port Under Defeat to the Dreamcast.
