Today in the dsi shop is an update to the nes classic Earth Worm Jim. There is a new mode where you try to score points by making faces that are capture by the dsi camera. This title is only 500 points. I might get this for it's new mode.

You mean SNES (Super Nintendo) classic right? Don't think you're talking about the pirate Earthworm Jim Famicom releases. Has the dsi been hacked to play roms?
Sounds like an interesting new feature, don't know if it fits with the game, but interesting.

Ok, so I guess I was being a dick about a small typo, my bad. I make them too sometimes. FORGIVE ME! lol But, yeah, the Genesis one is the one that comes to my mind as a classic with Earthworm Jim. Sega CD classic, honestly? lol

I was mostly concerned with people mentioning the version with the better music. ;) Didn't mean to make fun of you. Sorry.

I just love our community here at DP! LOL Seriously... that was a good laugh.
Do we know which version of Earthworm Jim this is? It would be awesome if it were a port of the PC version (or Sega CD) and had the kick @$$ soundtrack.

You have got to be kidding! The Atari 2600 version was totally bastardized. Its original release on the ENIAC blows all the other releases out of the water.

Yeah, the ENIAC-1 version may have not have had any video or graphics (just holes being punched on a tape), but it really makes up for that with an engaging story and classic Earthworm Jim humor. It just blows the Genesis version out of the water.

ENIAC-1 version? You must be mistaken. The real definitive version is original telegraph one from back in the day!

See the rabid fans, practically rushing to get their very own telegraph? And all just to play Earthworm Jim!

Man, how could I forget! However, let's not forget about the very first Earthworm Jim game, involving an actual worm. (It was also the first virtual-reality game) It was an instant classic in the medieval times.

In all seriousness though, this version of Urth Worn Gym is being released by Gameloft, and that gives me reason to be concerned. Has anyone checked it out yet? How is it?

Well the Sega CD has the best console version of Earthworm Jim (only the PC versions are better), so yes, I'd call it a classic for the platform...

I got it and yes, it does suck, there are a few new additions to it to use the DSi's camera but they have changed how much of the screen is shown and killed the game as you cant see what enemies are coming at you now until they're on you attacking you.
EW Jim is one of my most favorite 2d platformers and what Ive played of this port so far has made me want to cry.

The original earthworm jim was released 2 months after dirt was released, this version is the best out of all of them! It was even out before humans!!!!!!!!!

I was a fan of the punch card yarn loom version myself. However, the Babbage's Computing Machine and the Antikythera Mechanism versions were quite nice. Good luck finding enough Baghdad batteries to power your shit.
