Ok, I received my Neobitz, hooked it up to my NeoGeo 2 slot, and.... TEH GLITCHINESS IS OVER 9000! But seriously, its not working, and I'm wondering what will solve this problem. I'm thinking a sync cleaner might do the trick...

If you can describe in greater detail both your setup and the problems you are having, we might be able to help you.

Ok, sorry. I have a NeoGeo MVS 2 slot motherboard. I am currently using a Neobitz-S wired directly to the Jamma edge for video. My picture gets red lines and glitches. I have checked my connections with a multimeter and there is no cross-talk or shorting between the wires. I suspect this may be a problem with the sync line, as they say that the Neobitz is finicky with sync signals.

In regards to the Neo its not typically. Recheck all of your work and solder points. Also check and make sure everything on the encoder is soldered well.

Jeff Kurtz said I should use some 120 ohm resistors on the RGB lines...

Ok, it looks like there's a spot for a lm1881 sync cleaner ic on the board. Should I slap it on the ol' Neobitz and give it a spin? Of course, I'd have to add a 0.1uf cap and some resistors, (based on schematics) but no big deal.

Was the MVS board tested and working by you prior to the installing the encoder?

Yeah, the guy who shipped it had a pic of it running on a SuperGun. It could have been damaged in shipping, though.
I feel like an idiot for not building a SuperGun first.
