A guy I know gave me this Spiderman-themed Xbox console because he has no A/V cables, power cord, or controllers for it. I haven't seen one of these before and it doesn't look like a custom job or skin. It also has what appears to be an ethernet dongle/device on the front with switches of some sort. Whatever it is, it's wired directly into the Xbox unit.

Any idea what this is/what it is worth?

Thanks in advance for checking it out. As you can see, the center part on the top of the unit is missing. I never owned an Xbox as I was still playing my original NES through 2007, so this era of gaming is very foreign to me.

I don't think it's anything special. The board on the front is the controller for an Xecuter X3 chip, probably the nicest mod chip that was available for the original xbox. The switches on it let you select which bank of bios to boot from.

My guess is the case was done with the mod. If it's working, it's a nice system to have as you can load XBMC and have a fully featured media center that happens to play games as well.

... That looks like one of those tacky vinyl skins.

I just went and tried to peel off the Spiderman part. Seems like it is vinyl.

So, an Xbox with a mod chip, basically. Thanks for the info fellas!
