I've tried 3 different cables for my SNES, and I can't get a picture. It turns on (the red light goes one) but nothing.
I thought it would work forever too..

Have you tried the RF cable and the RCA cable?

Yep, I've tried both. I just get the blue screen my tv shows when nothing is hooked up to it.
Are SNES's known to die?

I'd try a different TV first. Also check the cartridge connector or the game cartridge itself is not dusty. Some TV's won't switch off the blue screen when a blank video signal is being sent (which is what the SNES does when it's on, but not loading anything).

I had this same problem with my SNES. If none of the above remedies work, it probably has a fried chip. At least thats what I have been told.
Edit: Is it just me or are there alot of SNES dying lately? They all seem to be having this problem, too.
