i received kao the kangaroo in the mail today which was the last game i needed to complete my dreamcast library......unfortunately some of my games are missing the cases....and a couple of manuals.....but i think having the games themselfs should count for something, and i am extremly happy about it

Congrats! That's a great accomplishment, I hope someday I could also have a complete collection for a system.

Congrats! Now get them complete as loose cd's or incomplete jewel cases are just unsightly. Not to mention that the games are pretty darn easy to get complete.

Now get to posting some pics!

Congratulations. I don't do the complete library thing, but I know the feeling of accomplishment you get when you meet personal goals. So, what's next then?

Congrats! I still can't fathom having a complete collection as I have nowhere near that for any system. Pretty awesome stuff! I'm hoping to get a Dreamcast fairly soon myself...

Great job! I'm surprised Kao The Kangaroo was the last game you needed. I thought most people have a hard time finding Project Justice, Midway Arcade Greatest Hits Vol. 2, Tech Romancer, Gigawing, or something like that. But either way, great accomplishment!!

I think the DC is the most overrated of all the Sega systems. Personally I think the Genesis (no brainer) and even the Saturn have much better games.

GET A DREAMCAST. NOW.

Aye, I'm workin on it. These things are cheap on craigslist, so shouldn't be too hard. I bet the DC is probably better than the old Xbox for homebrew and emulation, since it doesn't need to be chipped or anything. That's mainly why I'm excited to get one.

It does need to be chipped for imports. MAKE DAMN SURE THAT THE ONE YOU BUY HAS EITHER A 1 OR A 0 in a circle on the bottom, as those are the only ones that can read backups. I suggest getting the model 1 as its motherboard is the only one compatible with the chip.

Ah, thanks for the tip man! I'll make sure to snag a model 0 or 1.

No prob, dude. And while you're at it, spray paint the front "grill" for the controller ports blue and the eject and power buttons black. Best color scheme evah!

I would have thought the last game may have been Sonic Adventure Limited Edition.

It was for me. It took me several years to find a nice condition boxed copy of this.

Amazing,
love the 'normal' CD cases, not like the 'awful' European blue double cases, which suck big time.

You want to sell one of the Sonic LE ?

Congrats.

I'm 25 games or so away myself.

Is the only difference in the Shenmue and Sonic Limited Editions (from the standard editions) the writing on the covers/manuals? Are they variants rather than separate games?

You want to sell one of the Sonic LE ? well i had originally only planned to get 1, but thanks to my kind friends i got the second copy as a birthday gift so they kinda both hold sentimental value

there are some games i have as disc only without the back inserts or manuals that i didn't bother taking pics of cuz i thought they were too common to be of interest......but if anyone wants i will post pics

Totally awesome, I've only got around 40 titles but they're just the ones I love (or came quite cheaply).

I actually store them in the same shelves! Nice and affordable with adjustable shelves, too bad they start to bow in the middle a bit over time.

Nice I miss my complete DC collection. It was fun and I played the crap out of the system. Definitly a fun system to collect for becouse it has a low ammount of garbage games.

Agreed. There were very few 'duds" compared to most systems.

I own a mostly complete set of DC games, but most of them aren't factory pressed.

Not shown: 5 more white consoles, many more controllers, vmus, steering wheel, Blaze arcade controller.
Need a few more games, Sega arcade controller & the Sega Sports Edition and maracas boxes.
If you are completing this collection to play, I recommend getting a few spare consoles.

Congrats! I also have the entire US Dreamcast collection with all original jewel cases, games, manuals. It is the only system that i have every game.. I am very close with the 32x but that is much smaller!

I used to have a complete US DC collection around 3 years ago, but in the end I wasn't really happy with it. There's so many shovelware like Disney's 102 Dalmatians that took up shelf space. I ended up selling the collection on ebay for just over $2k.

Now I only buy games I intend to play.

Kron

If anything there's very little 'shovelware' compared to the other systems.
