Hi guys!

A friend of mine told me he had some classic PC titles including a rare version of Day of the Tentacle. The game came in a triangular box, and it still has all of the original contents. Here's a picture of the game:

I mentioned him owning this in another thread but I couldn't get much information on it. Any idea what this version of the game is worth? I can't seem to find anything online about this particular version.

A sealed one sold on Ebay a few months ago for over $500. I would imagine if it's mint and complete your friend is probably looking at least a couple hundred dollars. There is a huge European collector's market for Lucasarts games and this particular game in the triangular box is in demand because it's hard to find without damage.

It's worth around $100(give or take). Here's a complete one on ebay that sold for close to that when you convert the currency, this was sold in Europe too where there would be higher demand.

It's a really cool version of the game to have, I'm hoping to come across a copy eventually. I wouldn't be willing to pay anywhere near that much though.

EDIT: It seems the copy from ebay I posted is missing the hint book and copy of The Adventurer, I'm not sure how much those would affect the value.

Quite a bit. Both items are relatively hard to find in good shape.
