Hi, i was lucky enough to get a cheap GT few days ago.
I notice that the GT screen displays nicely EXCEPT the left side is brighter than right side. Is it normal?

Can i use rechargeable batteries for GT? since on the battery cover, there is a sticker warning ppl not to do so.

And the resolution of LT is better than GT?

I couldn't say if the LT's resolution is better, but it's a bigger screen. Not sure HOW big though. Remember with some systems like the CD-i 370 and the Sega Nomad (portable Gen 2) you have resolution that matches the normal output of the system, not what it would be on a TV.

As for one side of the screen being brighter than the other...that does NOT sound normal, especially given how high-spec the screen for that thing's supposed to be. After all, does that SEEM normal for a system that costs as much as the GT does?

Before you go crazy, though, see if there's nothing you can do with the brightness controls (it does have those, right?)

it does have a brightness control, and i played with it for a while.
when i turn screen to maximium dark, both sides are dark.
it seems normal, right?
so i started to think "one side brighter than other side" is by design.
anyone has GT or Turbo Express has idea on that?

I've got a GT and a TE, and have owned several TurboExpresses over the years, I've never seen one where one side of the screen is lighter than the other. Is it significantly lighter? Maybe I was just having too much fun to notice!

I've also got an LT. I don't think the resolution itself is better, but the 4" screen eliminates the problems you have in games like Sidearms or Military Madness where the text gets so compressed that it's difficult to read on a GT's smaller 1.6 x 2.4" screen.
