What home consoles have a simultaneous two player mode for pac-man, if any? I can't think of one. I don't have an xbox or 360 anymore so those versions won't work for me. Thanks!

I can't think of any off the top of my head. Although I think someone said the Genesis version of Ms. Pac-Man could? I'm not sure about that one.

It would have been great to see a two-player Pac-Man, maybe throwing in the 'barrier' elements from Lock N' Chase so you could trap the other player. Or somehow 'steal' their dots from them. Or even mix in a little Bomberman, and have Pac drop a bomb behind him. The game consoles with four controller ports (Astrocade, Atari 800, Atari 5200) would have been great for four-player Pac-Man goodness.

Atari 7800 has one. The second player controls Blinky.

Ms. Pac-Man for Genesis does support simultaneous 2-player. Great port all-around.

Oh, if we're counting versus play, there's Pac-man Vs. for Gamecube. Player 1 controls Pac-man with a GBA, while up to 3 other players control the ghosts on the Gamecube.

Mitch I think is referring to the home brewed Dual Pac-Man (http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/74780-7800-two-player-simultanious-pac-man/) by Bob DeCrescenzo, which is also part of Pac-Man Collection on the 7800.

Both the Genesis and SNES enhanced ports of Ms. Pac-Man feature simultaneous two-player action. The innovative Pac-Man Vs where players get to play as the ghosts is originally on Gamecube but has also been perfectly ported to Nintendo DS and can be found in Namco Museum.

Some of the handheld versions did this:

The Coleco handheld/tabletop game had a two-player version:
http://www.handheldmuseum.com/Coleco/PacMan.htm

You could play as two Pac-Mans simultaneously, or one play as the ghost against a Pac-Man...

The Entex Pac-Man 2 had similar modes:

I have both of those handhelds. Neither one of them works properly, sadly. One of these days I'll get the 'gumption' to take them apart and get them working, hopefully without killing them in the process.

Well, it's a port but a decent one.

Ghost Hunter for the Atari 8-bit computers:

Tengen's Ms. Pacman on the NES is my favorite version cuz it has 2-coop with a ton of features. Plus it has a ton of new levels as well. It is a must have/must play game! Try the "crazy" option.

There's nothing quite like playing the "strange" levels with the pac-booster on the 2-player competitive mode; it's Pac-Man on steroids and LSD!
