I am picking up two new games today. First one is now here. Make Trax for $100. Never played this one back in the day. Tonight picking up an Astro Blaster. This will be my second go-around with this Astro Blaster. I sold one a few years ago, but it had no sound or speach. This one is all nice, clean and working. One of my favorite Sega Gremlin Game!

I paid $100 for my Make Trax as well. I had it for a few months and got tired of it, so I tried selling it for $200. Nothing. Then I dropped the price to $100. Nothing. I tried selling that damn thing for six months and couldn't find anyone interested in it. Between it being semi-obscure and the fact that it's included on the 48-in-1, the value of Make Trax is really low.

Not to say that one doesn't look great -- nice find, and I hope you enjoy it.

Too nice! Love Make Trax, unappreciated gem if there ever was one.

Oh hey, it's Crush Roller! I was expecting it to be some BMX / rally bike type thing. One of those games that's like watching paint dry...literally, except with less paint-drying and more footprints. I don't get how you're supposed to paint the whole scene (I don't think I've ever managed it) if that thing that leaves footprints always can ruin it. It's also aggravating to be just about to turn around to push the roller on top of the stupid monsters...only to have them run past it before you can engage. Adding stuff like needing to double back makes it guesswork, and you're less able to make snap judgements on spatial relationships like in Pac-Man.

I've never hated the game, sure, but I've never really understood it.

In any case, if you like it enough to keep it, that's what matters.

I actually like that game, played it a few times at other people's places. I'd certainly pick one up in that great of shape for $100. Yea, I doubt it's a money maker and haven't seen it make many heads turn but still a fun game for what it's worth. Congrats on the CL grab!

Only once per maze does a critter come out and make footprints. They are pretty easy to get and you score some good points too. It's pretty fun and my wife likes it so it will be here for a while :) And yes, you are right about the rollers and timing it wrong - happens alot but adds to the fun of the game. It sounds so simple but they alway stop shorter than you think and you run into the fish. And in later rounds they are smart enough to run away from the rollers and they are very hard to get. It's def growing on me the more I play though. Deceivingly tough.

I'll give 'er another spin (or roll) sometime, then. Thanks for the tips!

Nice find. Funny to hear how obscure this game was, it was in my local grocery store as a kid, and right around the time I was obsessed with arcade games. I used to play a game or two and then just sit and watch the attract screen or other people play...it was better than walking the grocery aisles with my parents. So to me it seems quite familiar and nostalgic. I would have snapped that up for $100 without a second thought.

Wow, a month delayed potshot. Geez, I just hate the game personally. A beautiful cabinet for $100, great deal - but the game it is, belch. But if that's your game, cool. No malice was intended.

I got the honor of seeing Walter Day play this game in person. He is really really good at it :)

Nice find!

Thanks for making it your signature so we can relive that awkward moment for eternity.

It's interesting how strong a reaction this poor (as in: it doesn't deserve this!) game gets. It seems to have been designed on purpose to be as it is...the overall game concept is kind of limited but the designers ran with it and took it about as far as it can go, which I always like to see in a game. But I agree with David also.
