So on another thread, I noticed someone posted about the FC 16 Go, an snes portable which I had never heard about.

I looked up some information regarding it and discovered that Yobo recently released Version 2 of the system.

Anyone own Version 2 and care to share their thoughts? In particular, any ergonomic issues with hand/finger aches. What about eye strain? The screen size is 3.5 inches but I wonder if that's sufficient. Game details ok?

More importantly, whenever it comes to such devices, I always get really paranoid about buying them because I feel like "if only I wait 2 more months, the new version will be released" OR "xyz company will be releasing theirs in X months, maybe I should wait" And so I ended up second guessing myself thinking that some definitive product that everyone agrees is the best is just around the corner....

So are there other companies working on snes portables?? Should I wait a bit??

I know I wrote a lot, and sorry in advance for my rambling, but the idea of an snes portable really interests me, and I want to get as much info as possible.

thanks :)

Those-in-the-know can answer this better than I, but word was that both Hyperkin and Innex were going to be putting out a portable SNES of their own. Assuming these are still in the works, I don't think we're going to be any concrete information until at least E3 or Classic Gaming Expo. I would definitely wait a couple months or so to see what develops.

You should just assume they are always going to revision that thing and not worry about it.

That's what I figured. Seems like this is a relatively new market, and I think I'll give it some more time for the competition and better products to come out.

Damn, I have to admit however that it would badass to have a snes portable. I want one NOW! :)

I just wish they did away with the controllers and connecting to the TV thing. It would probably make the device smaller and defiently cheaper. If I wanted to play SNES on the TV i would use my real SNES.
