A while back I got a bunch of ps1 games for free (maybe 15 or so?). One of them happened to be this game. I recently joined goozex and am looking for a few items to put up on there. I noticed it was 550 points, so I went to ebay to check the price, which was $25+ on many completed auctions. My question is, why such a demand? I doesn't seem that rare? Oh well, I guess I will make out, I am not complaining.. just curious to know if anyone has any insight.

thanks.

No idea, but for some reason the Xbox Jurassic Park game is hard to find and pricey as well. Maybe its just nobody buys any of the Jurassic Park games until they are out of print for collection purposes?

That is funny. I just so happened to purchase the NES version of Jurassic Park before finding this topic. I have a special place in my heart for the old JP games. I recall Warpath, I also recall it being somewhat difficult to find and not really that desired.

I think it's a combination of rarity and nostalgia with the JP games. A good chunk of video games collectors lived through the JP heyday as kids or teens.

I actually have been told project Genesis on the xbox is a good game as well as rare. That could explain the xbox one. The ps1 game, I have no idea.

Project Genesis is fun but I can see why it might be rare. A sim-park theme game with the Jurassic Park license probably didn't make it a smash hit. Maybe that horrible Trespasser PC game made people shy away from JP games?

I don't know anything about Jurassic Park games but on Goozex there is a 7 person deep waiting list for the complete package, one person has requested it disk only. Also, 550 points equals $27.50, which would match your Ebay price comparisons. Apparently the game is in demand, which means it's either a really good game or it's rare. I'm leaning towards rare. There was a glut of one-to-one fighting games 10 or so years back and I'm guessing this one was just lost in the mix.
