View Full Version : SELLING: S-Video SEGA Genesis Model #1 With Region Switch

So this is my SEGA genesis model one. I'm asking at least $80.00 for it + shipping, but best offer takes it. You can find pictures of the system at the bottom of the topic. Please send me a private message if you're interested. Please note that this is for the system only. It's been modded in the following ways.

AV MOD: Red, yellow, & white AV jacks have been added as well as S-Video to the back of the system. The Stereo from the front headphone jack has been re-routed to the back so the system gives full stereo sound. As a cool bonus, the slide bar for the headphone's volume now controls the sound volume for the entire system.

Region Mod: A region switch has been added to the side of the system. It allows you to switch between NTSC-J & NTSC-U, for playing Japanese & American games respectively. The cartridge slot has been widened to allow Japanese games to fit as well.

Signal Amplifier: A signal amplifier has been installed to get it to work in S-Video on certain picky TV sets that would otherwise have the signal not work due to being "out of range"

I could drop it like $5.00 but i doubt it's going to make you want to buy it all of a sudden. It's gotten a good amount of interest already from other members. Send me a message if you want to make an offer. You never know, I might change my mind.

so tempted but it all depends on a new job (find out tomorrow) repayment of some debts (credit cards) and finally I need a list of genesis games I've yet to play that would justify this (bet I can get one going)

be sure to use words such as 'upgraded', probably should not use the word 'modded'- ebay will kill listings with 'modded'

There's plenty of s-video genesis on ebay right now, at least two that i see. I just don't know if I should mention the region switch or not...
