PSPGo is still expensive, even with three games.

Still, something is something.

Trying to sell as many units as they can before they announce the PSP2 at E3 I guess.

The Greatest Hits additions are really the only noteworthy items here. Pretty much anything involving the PSPGo is too little, too late.

I'd be interested in a PSPGo but really only as a portable emulator platform for older systems. I know the PSP can do that but its not as portable as the Go is.

I think if Sony (and 3rd party devs) have done anything in the realm of PSP as of late - it's done a great job of running "sales" and incrementally lowering the prices of PSP compatible games on the PSN. (PSOne games, Minis and PSP games)

I recall the gaming public being pretty resistant to the price structure (close to/higher than brick/mortar retail pricing) of a lot of PSP game pricing on the PSN when they started rolling those out in bulk, for those who have been following that situation ... there's a lot of really good stuff that has dropped to very reasonable price points over the past year.

That's generally a good thing for people who did invest in the PSP Go and ONLY have the option to buy games on the PSN - as well as all other PSP owners who are interested in buying legit PSN DLC games.

My thoughts exactly. $250 for old technology (yeah, new form factor...but same old PSP) is just too much to ask in my personal opinion. The people who were excited about the PSP have already had one for YEARS, and it didn't excite to too much to warrant a re-purchase of the same old handheld with even less features (no UMD...online only) for a super premium price tag. At least update it somewhat (like two analog nubs and touchscreen) if you want that coin from me.

Nah, the PSP is pretty much dead unfortunately. They can keep the few $10 games.

I think Sony should have reduced the price of the console and offer a free game (non DLC) with purchase. Like the bundles they recently have, but instead of being $200, maybe $150 would entice buyers to pick a unit up. And the core unit for $129.

Games should reduce from $40 to $30 and Greatest Hit titles be $15 or something.

Create a sweet deal that is hard to refuse.

Why not give us a choice of games? It seems like a no brainer.

Yeah it needs to be in the $150-$180 price range.

Any of you who don't have a PSP here? There are a lot of good games since release most of which are still in print and cheap.

Also. In PAL regions only(I think) Sony is giving an offer to those who register their PSP Go systems starting I think this month through a certain day. They get 10 games. Most of the games are newer. Half of them are good, but considering I've never played the other half I don't know if they're good or not.

This is exactly what I was thinking after I read the article. Why not shave at least $50 off the PSPgo, and package it with a voucher for any 3 greatest hits games of your choosing?!

This was one of the original PSP's biggest problems at launch, the system and games were way too pricey. The other problem being a lack of good games for quite sometime. Anything over $200 is too expensive for a hand held system, and games over $40 is too much as well. Prices for the old PSP and a lot of its games have certainly dropped over the years and its lineup of games is pretty good at this point, but Sony obviously hasn't learned anything with the go?!

Tell that to the two million plus people who have already purchased a $700 iPad. Besides. The PSP Slim is still $170 the consumer isn't forced to go out and purchase a PSP Go.

I'm talking strictly about gaming hand helds, not things like the iPad. Sony and most companies can't get away with charging what Apple does for most of their products. Apple could sell a turd with their logo on it, and people would pay $700 for it.

With the money Nintendo's making, they could get away with price gouging on future systems.

Yeah that's true. Perhaps I should clarify my earlier comment...I personally believe anything over $200 is too expensive for a hand held.

Hope this helps clear out their inventory.

I'm hoping we see one last revision of the PSP to carry on the system in it's final days(PSP-4000 I suppose you'd call it) that combines the 16 gig internal storage and BlueTooth capabilities of the Go with the form factor/UMD drive/memory card slot of the PSP 3000.

Hopefully it can't ripped UMD files, but emulation and PSX eboot files and I'll pick it up. Also hope it has a non interlaced screen with 2ms(or lower) refresh rate if possible.
