I found a Nuon controller at a local store recently, and it piqued my interest in the weird DVD game system thing. It appears to have a few good games, so I looked up prices for the system and it was pretty expensive for a 10 year old DVD player, like $100 for a bare unit. My question is, what is the average going rate for one of these units?

Depends which player you are after, some are worth more than others; partly due to demand, partly due to usability and joystick ports on the front. Your best bet would be Samsung N501, although the price on that has gone up a bit in the last couple of years. I paid $50 for mine about five years back, but it might be closer to double that now.
