Gradius 3: A Gaming Challenge on Steroids

I'm about ready to give up. I'm convinced that Gradius 3 is unbeatable. There's no way in pure hell that I can see anyone beating this game. After losing a ship on some of the later levels, your power ups (options, force fields, lasers, speed) are stripped from you. What kind of chances do I have facing a boss late in the game if I have no powerups? I keep reading posts about how people have beaten this game. Did Konami create more than one version of this game? I believe I got the "Immensly Lopsided Battle and Incredibly Difficult" version. I have had all my ships shot out from under me at the same point everytime I play the game. I even tried to cheat, and that didn't do anything but prolong my inevitable death.

I do my best to beat every game I own but Gradius 3 has other ideas.

it's doable. you just have to not lose a life, lol...=^P

I've beat it before, it's tough but definately doable. The more i look back on it, Gradius 3 seems pretty easy compared to games like Ikaruga or Rayxanber.

I beat Gradius 3 years ago. Fun, but very hard. Thank god for the konami code.
