Who all here has a Dreamcast keyboard? Does anyone still use it? I used to use it a lot back in the day when dialup was a big thing. I never did get the broadband adapter. If I had the broadband adapter I'd probably still use it. It's too bad the homebrew scene is not creating a new more compatible browser for the Dreamcast. I guess some people are still using it to play Phantasy Star Online. Yes, there are still a few servers up running this game.
Just wondering if anyone else is getting a use out of theirs or is it sitting in their closet like mine? -_-

I have two, specifically for playing Typing of the Dead.
Oh, and I have a small, Japanese one in storage - it was a novel gift from a friend, but I don't have much use for it since the key locations are a little odd.

I have an adapter to use a regular keyboard, and a new in box official mouse. Haven't really used them yet because I wish to get a hold of a broadband adapter at a price that won't break the bank. Plus, I still don't have Typing of the Dead for DC :(, only for PC.

I have a mouse and keyboard, which I use to play Half Life on the Dreamcast. Other than that I don't have any use for it.

I haven't used mine in some time but it does get use with Typing of the Dead.
I never did go online with Dreamcast though... besides I'd need a mouse too no doubt.

I still use mine with Typing of the Dead and Typing of the Date, as well as Half-Life. But mainly I use it with emulators, as it's almost mandatory for systems like the Amiga, Spectrum and C64. Also it's much easier to tweak certain MAME sets with a keyboard than it is to fiddle around with a virtual keyboard via controller.
So yes, I still use my keyboards quite frequently.

I still have one, although it sees no use since no more dial-up, and I still don't have Typing of the Dead. Plan to grab it someday, though.

I have one which I break out whenever I want to play the homebrewed port of Quake on the DC and want to use cheats.
I also have a never-opened PS/2 to DC keyboard adapter, so even if the DC keyboard craps out one day I can pick up an inexpensive replacement from a thrift store and be right back in business.

Mine gets used any time I play the Worms games; there's always someone new who needs to make a team, and name entry is much easier that way.

Haven't used it in a while; only occasional games of Typing of the Dead.

I use two to play Typing of the Dead with my wife. However, it's hard to get the game working. Half the time the Dreamcast won't read the disc, even though I bought it new.
I also used a keyboard and mouse when Quake was online. I had a ton of fun playing that.

You can get away with using the DC controller as your mouse (joystick moves cursor, buttons for left/right click).

I used to use one all the time back when I abused Netzero accounts to connect to the Internet through the Dreamcast. It was my only Internet connection for a pretty good while and I bought the keyboard to make it easier. I even bought the mouse with the intention I would use it to play Outrigger and Quake 3 online, but I think I only tried it a couple of times. And I finally got a better computer at that time and didn't need the Dreamcast for online anymore.
