When I can finally retire my disc of Jet Grind Radio, I can die a happy man. I'm honestly amazed the game still even plays. And seriously - imagine playing JGR on the 360's controller, or a dualshock 3 - It'll be like heaven, not having a giant contoller, weighed down by a jump pack and a VMU.
And a re-release of PSO has to be in the cards.... It would sell like hotcakes.

A PSO rerelease that was patched to prevent cheaters, in HD, with some new weapons thrown in.... omg that would be amazing.

Maybe if we're lucky they'll give us a port of Ikaruga or Rez!

Shenmue 2 might finally get a proper North American release.
And right now, I'm getting glorious visuals of playing Power Stone 2, in HD, online... :) :) :)

Shenmue 2 came out on the XBox....why is that not a proper NA release?
And isn't Ikaruga already on XBox live?
But yes, I would love a power stone 2 release as that would drive down the price for the actual dreamcast game hopefully.

To me the best Soul Calibur ever was the one on Dreamcast. I sure hope we get that. Not much info but it does say "Dreamcast" games not "Sega" games.

They already released it, without online multiplayer. I actually never even tried it because it was missing that.

I can't quite put my finger on it, but the Xbox version felt soulless.
It really just felt like it belonged more on the Dreamcast. But that's just me...

I hope Crazy Taxi has it's original soundtrack by the Offspring and Bad Religion instead of some new crap.
Also hoping Jet Grind Radio is next after CT and SA.
I wonder how much these are gonna cost?

Phantasy Star Online 1, 2(GC,) and Blue Burst get a XBL and PSN release with no monthly fees. I don't care if you have to buy all three seperate. I would buy them.
Power Stone 2 Online
But yes, I would love a power stone 2 release as that would drive down the price for the actual dreamcast game hopefully.
Powerstone 1 and 2 are on the PSP and playable against anyone through adhoc party.

You obviously don't have a 360 or you would have already been enjoying these games.

You also don't have a 360 as we(360 owners) have had that game(and the two previous mentioned ones) for quite some time now. You boys are missing out.
In one of the stories I read it mentioned that this will only apply to Sega first party games. I'm not sure if thats the final say or not but if it is this announcement won't be as important, mainly because most of those games have already been rereleased on either the Xbox, PS2, Gamecube or XBLA. But still it's nice to have DL copies to play right off of your hard drive, as long as they are priced affordably.

I can't quite put my finger on it, but the Xbox version felt soulless.
Then I suggest that you just don't like the game. It's the same game and any differences are minor (There's an excellent pictorial guide out there showing differences that were made). I doubt a downloadable version of the Dreamcast title would be any better for you.
Sonic Adventure doesn't come as a surprise, I thought that had been confirmed ages ago. But it's nice to see Crazy Taxi coming and to hear that more games are in the works.
It's wishful thinking because the car and music relicensing would make the cost prohibitive, but I'd love to see Metropolis Street Racer get a rerelease.
Sweet! I always wanted to try out the Dreamcast games if they do get rerelease. ^^

It's nice that they're finally doing this, but why did it take them almost five years to figure this out?
I hope they get around to porting Chu Chu Rocket, Propeller Arena, Headhunter, Napple Tale, Seaman and Ecco.

I still play the Dreamcast through VGA with a PSX controller adapter, Is it really worth it for people with that setup? apart from PSO and the other online compat titles. What would be good would be some English translations on the majority of jrpg's we didn't get. Also KOF 99 dream match, which is KOF98 with 3d backgrounds, never got this to work through VGA.

Very much so, yes. I already have "bought" the XBLA's Ikaruga and Marvel vs Capcom 2 (which sorta counts as a DC game).
Why won't Sega just slap 6-8 of these on a DVD and release it as "Sonic's Ultimate Dreamcast Collection" for $60? You think this is all part of some grand scheme to extend the life of the 360 with last-gen titles? Much like how PS1 games are on the PSP?
Crazy Taxi was one of the first DC games ported to the PS2 back after the DC left the market... nine years ago. My, how time flies.

Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for some stupid reason has no online support. If Sega was to release the games on disc, I'd like to see the games have online support such as multiplayer, etc. I'd also like a rerelease of Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection with online support. Tons of games support player servers. Why is this not an option?

If Microsoft and Sega had reconciled on that online play or not debate, maybe we would have been able to play dreamcast discs on an xbox a long time ago....

Because Sega is lazy and it's just some fairly featureless emulator on a disc. It should also have more than three savestates and rewind and fast forward, but it doesn't. Sega has never really gotten the whole emulation thing done properly.

this is a great move for sega-they'll make some money and get stuff bought and played that wasn't by a lot of people who never played/bought a dreamcast. I will buy many/all of these titles because they are great and to support sega (here's hoping shenmue 1 and 2 see a release with perhaps some improvements) this could allow for future titles such as shenmue 3 :)

Why would the old Genesis Sonic games need online support? Some games are perfectly fine offline.
Maybe Propeller Arena will get a real release, with functioning online play and all.

This is a great idea.
Otherwise, I'm mostly neutral the idea. No 360 or PS3 here and I have a nice line-up of Dreamcast systems so pardon Propeller Arena, which kicks serious ass, I don't have much interest but perhaps if more exclusive DC titles make it out, it should be a worthwhile affair with those who don't have the means to use a real Dreamcast.

No Offspring and Bad Religion in Crazy Taxi. Sorry.

http://xboxlive.ign.com/articles/109/1096446p1.html
What won't be there? The Offspring and Bad Religion. SEGA couldn't pull off the licensing, so it replaced the classic "Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!" of the Offspring's "All I Want" with a random smattering of punk bands. It's a crushing disappointment for sure (more so than the loss of the Kentucky Fried Chicken and Pizza Hut licenses) and may be a deal-breaker for some. Crazy Taxi and the Offspring go together like Sex and the City. You could always turn down the music and put an Offspring album on your MP3 player of choice.

Prop Arena would be really nice to see after all this time (officially, that is). Of course, it too had liscensed music, but since it never came out people are not as attached, I'm sure. Half of it was made for the game, too, so that helps.

Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection isn't just Sonic games. The Sonic games are the worst of the bunch in my opinion. Games included though are the Streets of Rage series, Altered Beast, and Golden Axe series that I like to play multiplayer.
The only time a friend and I can play multiplayer on those games is whenever we're hanging out. I have Streets of Rage 1, 2, and 3, for Genesis(just got them in a lot a couple weeks ago) and the Sega Genesis Collection for the PS2. One friend owns Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection. It's not like I'm going to go over to someones house just to play the games. Even though there's not too many multiplayer games on it, the ones that are on it are still good games.
I own Sega Genesis Collection for the PS2, but doesn't include Streets of Rage. Might as well pick up the PSP version and could atleast play the ones included multiplayer through adhoc party.

No Offspring and Bad Religion in Crazy Taxi. Sorry.
Not a big loss. :)
And not much of a surprise. They've been changing it the last few times it was rereleased. The PC and PSP ports of it both have a different soundtrack and they're the most recent examples of the game.
I'll be using the custom soundtrack feature. Never liked the original soundtrack and I doubt I'll like the new replacement. I'll be playing the game to classic Sega music like Magical Sound Shower now. :)

This might be a deal breaker for me. Crazy Taxi without the Offspring just isn't Crazy Taxi to me.
I'm all over this if and when PSO gets released. That game consumed so much of my life back in high school.

I can't see them doing PSO when the 360 Universe servers are still going strong. That said, if they did, I'd be getting it day and date. Otherwise, not a lot of interest aside from Propeller Arena or other unreleased games with multi-player potential. I may bite on one or two games if there are avatar awards comparable to those on After Burner Climax. Still, nice to see that these will be introduced to a new audience who isn't lucky enough to have a sweet DC VGA setup.

All games on the 360 allows you to play your own music while retaining all sound effects. Some games on the PS3 allow you to play your own music while retaining all sound effects. The PS3 ones don't state whether you can or not, but certain ones you can hit the PS button and open music during gameplay(ones I know of are Sacred 2 and DBZ Raging Blast.)

I was kinda interested in Crazy taxi as well but it just seems odd without Offspring and Bad Religion in there. The other major thing is that I love playing Crazy Taxi on my DC with the steering wheel as playing with a controller just isn't the same. To do this now would require me to buy yet another steering wheel which I REALLY don't want to do...

I just hope when they release Jet Grind Radio, the don't leave out the extra levels with Rob Zombie and Jurassic 5...
They can leave out the music, as far as I'm concerned, and replace it with the original J-Pop soundtrack. But I hope they leave in the extra levels.

I would love to see Toy Commander on XBLA with 4 player support. The battles my friends and I had on that game were epically fun!
