In everything I've seen for this game, I've always seen it documented as having a "baby blue" cartridge, but the version I've had since I got this for Christmas a looooooong-ass time ago is black. Is black uncommon, or did I just get a second run or something? BTW, the game isn't so bad if you take out all the frigg'n bible verses, but I won't get into that...

It's more rare in the baby blue color, but it's still uncommon in black. And if you ask me, that game sucked so horribly, I would rather play Superman than BA again. :puke:

A friend of mine gave my Son a boxed copy of Bible Adventures (black cart)as a gift for his Baptism..
My Son is only 2..but someday.."Maybe" he will play it..
I wanted to see what the gameplay was like on this game..so I popped it into the NES one day when my friend was over..
He grabbed the controller and went at it..He was having a ball at the game as I kept trying to grab the controller off him..lol.
I can understand him playing this game so easily since it was his once..and he used to play it a lot..
I suck at it and I don't like it much..But it didn't look that bad..from the way he was playing it..and He likes it a lot..

Yeah I find the black one much more than the blue one.
And I don't hate the game either. It's nothing special gameplay-wise but I've had some fun with it and of course it's always worth a few laughs.

I remember reading some game article about how Wisdom Tree (that was the company that made those games right?) was the only non-licensed game maker to never incur Nintendo's wrath.

Yeah, neither are too hard to find, but the blue is the rarer of the two. Makes sense, since Wisdom Tree (all black) continued on, after the mainly blue CD games were stopped being made.

For the unintiated: CD=Color Dreams, the company from which Wisdom Tree "sprouted" (heh heh).

I don't know what article you read that talked about Wisdom Tree never incurring the big N's wrath, but I know that it was mentioned in the book "Game Over" that's pretty much the definitive history of the earlier Nintendo days. Man, that is a really good book.
Nintendo went after anyone and everyone (especially Tengen) but figured it would get slammed if it went after the people making Bible games...which is probably true. I doubt those games were big sellers and their market was so niche that it probably didn't justify the licensing fee...maybe I'm wrong on that though.

I heard that there was still a Christian website selling those games, and that there was a small celebration for over 300,000 sold! Maybe I'm a rare one here but I just couldn't get into those games (well, a little with Exodus, but only because it started out as Crystal Mines).

The funny thing is I've ONLY ever seen the Blue carts around here.
I should really pick one up for the laugh factor and since its, you know, holy. ;)

about a week ago my little brother was coming back from a funcoland with a big stack of nes games and he got into a car accident. A full size pick up truck destroyed his car. him and all of his friends were okay. treated in the hospital and released. out of the 30 or so games he purchased Bible adventures was the only one to get destroyed. That game died for my brothers sins and from here on out I am not leaving the house without my copy.

Your story is duly noted. Bible Adventures goes in the car. I think I'll put it in there where that "air bag" thingy is supposed to go. Its not like I use it anyway! :) ;) :P
